New offer type

So I had freaked out a little because I had to cancel a cruise and thought I was being punished but there is a new offer type

 

I called the CR and inquired. The rep says there will now be some offers that have a booking fee. Either because they will offer better rooms  or longer cruise dates. This offer goes out to Dec. In order to book these offers, you must pay the booking fee and it is not refundable. So now you must pay taxes and port fees plus this fee and if you cancel everything but the fee is returned. The rep said it will not be on all offers, just certain ones.

I'll probably pay the $100 if the offers are actually better because they've been pretty bad lately. I've been booking more Celebrity lately

As a side note, how can they manage to keep making it WORSE to browse through the offers.  Departure port and ship should be 2 of the top items to be able to view and sort by and yet now they are hidden under a collapsible View Details...

It's bad enough looking for yourself, but if you are trying to compare yours and your spouse's list it is very time consuming. I agree that the name of the ship and the departure port should be very visible. And just recently, they took out the description of the cruise, which at least saved time if the cruise was 7 day Mediterranean.

We just went through this yesterday.  UGH.  We finally got tired of going over the same things 14 different times and just gave up.  We'll tackle it another day,

I don't like the new list, it is very difficult to navigate. Why did they take away the ships and just put the room type and length? Now you have to click each one, reference the dates etc. This is annoying when you are trying to combine or match offers with someone else.

Thanks, @twangster.  We downloaded the lists and printed them.  It turns out that out of 10 pages of cruises, only 2 worked so that we could use one from each list to make a respectable B2B !  Too funny....but we would never have gotten there without the hard copies to look at.

So...Radiance on 10-5 and 10-10 it is !

I downloaded them also, and transferred them to excel so I could sort and search. Much easier to find the info I am looking for. Thanks  twangster for the info.

i noticed the lists format constantly changing as well, geez so hard to navigate i agree.

at least get the filters better, i rather pick 2 guests first, then port, then days....

alot of my offers are trying to get folks to west coast, no desire for a 4+ hour flight.....

good catch on the $100 I have that offer as well, I remember hearing or reading about this earlier on. not paying this fee, skipping that certificate/offer!

You can always load the list (saved as PDF for example) to ChatGPT or better to Gemni  and play with the following prompt :

 

"Analyze the attached list of cruise offers from Club Royale and provide recommendations based strictly and only on the information contained within this document. Do not use external information or general cruise schedules.
