Hi all,

We are taking our first Transatlantic and will need to do some laundry on board. We have pre-purchased the Wash and Fold laundry bags but am confused on whether you can use that for pants like jeans or casual pants that don't need the wash and press. Can you put jeans in the bags? Is there any extra fee? Please tell me of your experiences with the Wash and Fold bag. Thank you and happy cruising!

Yes, jeans are fine. They do not press unless you pay for that service- just wash and fold. The paper bags they give you are garbage. I suggest using a pillowcase. Roll and stuff your clothes into the case (be sure to track what you are inserting,  unlike me who tends to have to do this twice because I forget 😩). A 3/4 full standard pillow case will slip easily into the bag without tearing it and you will find you can fit more in the bag.

I'm D+, so I get a free wash and fold laundry. I use a lot.

Normally,  they'll do anything you can fit in the bag (which isn't very big). However, on Indy they were very picky. They refused my jeans and button down shirts. After that, I listed all shirts as t-shirts. I had very few issues after that.

Btw, all items must be specifically counted and inventoried.

If it fits in the bag they will wash it and fold it.  As someone already stated roll your laundry up tight to fit more into the bag.

Some stateroom attendants will tell you no jeans, I've had that happen to me a few times simply because I use my D+ member perks.   However, I've just learned to roll the jeans up tight and put them at the bottom of the bag.  Make sure you inventory everything that goes into the bag otherwise they will not take it so I'll write on the inventory sheet 1 or 2 pairs of jeans.   Stateroom attendants don't read the inventory sheet because they aren't the one's actually dealing with the laundry they simply deliver it to the laundry room.

As long as I've been using wash and fold I've never had anything ruined by Royal Caribbean but I also know they are using industrial type washers and dryers so I never place delicate items in the bag.
