Has anyone here actually done this post-cruise excursion?  According to the description,

"Check-in for your tour will be at the Ground Transportation Desk in the Vancouver cruise pier. Guests will need to walk from the terminal to street level, about 150 yards.

Your large luggage (left outside your onboard stateroom the night prior) will be transferred directly to the airport. Please note that luggage can not join passengers on the Hop-on Hop-off tour.

Hop-on the tour at the street level of the Canada Place Cruise Ship Terminal.

When you are ready to head to the airport, Hop-off at Stop #1 and use the provided Canada Line Airport Transfer Pass to take the SkyTrain to the Vancouver International Airport, an approximately 35 to 40 minutes journey. Please allow time to collect your luggage at the airport before checking in for your flight."

My question is, how/where do you collect your luggage?  It's a self-paced DIY tour where you can head to the airport at your leisure, so I'm just wondering how exactly that works.  Seems like an intriguing option as I'll probably be taking a red eye home, so even the longest RCI excursions get us to the airport hours early.  It's probably either this or a private tour group for us, and the price makes this palatable.

I have not done this tour.  I did the Shannon Falls.  Vancouver will not allow you to go through security until you are within 4 hours of your flight.  We ended our excursion and sat outside the airport for fresh air.  We had our luggage with us though.  I hope someone will weigh in and get you the answer

We did the same. It left us with way too much time at the airport but we had spent 18 days in Alaska/Vancouver between land & cruise so we were exhausted anyway. We enjoyed Shannon Falls & I vaguely remember having dinner at a burger place in the airport.

We didn't do this excursion. Instead, we stored luggage with valet at Pan Pacific, did hop on bus with purchased tickets, and upon return Ubered to airport. With party of four that was easier than sky train. The hotel across the street also stores luggage for a fee.

I've heard about this 4 hour limit before (perhaps in one of your earlier posts?), and that's exactly why a self-paced excursion seems like a good choice for us if the luggage pick up makes sense.

Not Patty but since I did the same excursion... Our luggage was collected and placed in the storage area under the large bus that took us to Shannon Falls... then unloaded for us at the airport.

Thanks...what time did you get to the airport...and did you enjoy the tour?

If you’re asking me, I want to say we got to the airport early afternoon. It was way too early for our red eye but we dealt with it. Shannon Falls isn’t really a tour, they just drop you off to explore the area. You can walk around ground level trails, see the falls, then take a cable car up the mountain & there’s a deck, bridge, snacks, etc. at the top. Very scenic views (they filmed a beer commercial up there that I only remember b/c it was airing that summer and we instantly recognized the location). Unfortunately it was foggy when we were there but on a clear day there are great views from up there.

We enjoyed it but we were truly just looking to kill some time after 18 amazing days so we had a low bar.
