I'm looking at the picture of everyone in sleeves and thinking, what's it like 70 degrees down there? Lol... I can always tell the transplants from up North and the long term residents when I'm down there.

I comment on that all the time but just to be fair to the natives, I think it was in the low 50’s this morning and I did throw on a hoodie with my shorts. It’s supposed to be in the 30’s overnight later this week.

It's going to this week!

My wife just flew out of Fort Meyers this morning to come back to Maine.

Interestingly enough, we’ve had some “warmer” temps here over the weekend….warmer being relative I guess

Y'all complaining about it being cold.. would you guys rather trade? It was 48 Celsius (118F) here the other day.

I’m dying just thinking about that.

I’ll take subzero temperatures over hot every time. I think back to my time in the military and places I went to. I couldn’t do it now. I start to have a hard time at 80°F.

SAME... give me 55-65 all year round and I'd be so happy!

80 F (26 celsius) is considered "cool" here in Australia. We're lucky to get anything below 20 celsius in Summer.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to follow along...all the humor, warmth, great laughs, and the wonderful (and expected) tangents made it even better.

Safe travels to everyone still out there!

I'm 🤣 officially unpacked, everything back in the cruise supply bins awaiting dry dock. 😭

Sooo lucky with smooth sailing, great weather, and everyone staying healthy.

Side note: after all that travel, we get home and Cman is joking around on the stairs about how heavy the bags are…swings around with his backpack and rips the thermostat clean off the wall 🙄 Luckily I was able to remount it with no sheetrock work..good timing too, since it’s 17 today 🥶

Ahhh… home sweet home.🤪

I feel you on this one. As they get older, any time away as a whole family is priceless! Have a safe trip back home.

It was so good spending that time with them..I don’t think we’ll be able to do another for a while, and that makes it even more special.
Even though we’re all in the same house, life is so busy and everyone is always coming and going. On the ship, we slowed down..laughed more, talked more, and truly enjoyed each other’s company 🤪, especially during meals and the connected balconies made it really fun 😂

This is why we love our MDR dinners so much... at home we rarely all sit down at the same table and have dinner. The week on the ship is so great because we get to enjoy family time, together and just enjoy it.. the dinners at MDR are almost always my kids favorite part because he gets to actually eat with all of us at the same time!

B-man struck gold with Dos Lobos Empanadas..scrumptious little pockets of happiness. 😋

Thank you for the Dos Lobos recommendation. I marked it down as a must stop in San Juan for our cruise this past week. It did not disappoint! The empanadas were wonderful 😋 and the drinks were very strong 🤪

Its a little quiet in the live blogsphere... @OCSC Mike must be prepping for his march madness on Utopia 🫣

I don't like to start my blogs too early. There's not much pre-cruise stuff to share since we pack light and have an hour drive to PC so there's no flight, hotel, etc. to mention. My intros are pretty repetitive at this point although this one will talk about the fam joining us, UDP plans, PDCC cabanas, etc. Stay tuned.

We've been busy dealing with annoying real life stuff for a change anyway. 🙄 Nothing too major, just something seems to pop up as soon as another issue is resolved. The only prepping I've done is my usual pre-cruise diet.

that last few weeks was like non-stop... I couldn't keep up! Everyone was on a cruise at the same time, lol.  I'm looking forward to Mikes for multiple reasons, one- we all just enjoy his blogs and two- when his are done, it means I'm less than two weeks away from my next cruise finally!

Totally relatable lately..Sometimes the best “pre-cruise prep” is just surviving real life long enough to get there 😃 can’t wait to read about the fam joining, UDP plans, and that PDCC cabana life once the countdown really kicks in...

Add a few nights of horrible insomnia to the list and the struggle is real. As long as things settle down between now and then… 20 days.
