OMG, on our first Royal cruise, we were tracked down as well.

But it was because on the first night in the MDR, our waiter was visibly ill. As in sweating with thick snot coming out of his nose, and he wiped his nose on his jacket sleeve.

Um, no.

Obviously we didn't return for the next several days and our head waiter eventually tracked us down and assigned a new waiter for the remainder.

See what I mean😂 how is one  cabin boy supposed to handle this all the way back to the cabin….haha

Central Park in the early AM. 😍 That sorta fell out of my routine with the new CL location. When I had to go down to 4 to get coffee I would sometimes hit CP on the way back up (and possibly get an egg sandwich if Park Cafe was open already). The whole ship is quiet pre-7am but that’s always been one of my favorite early morning peaceful spots.

Keep the early AM coffee/donut posts coming!

I love San Juan, definitely want to get back there for some more exploring... we took TWO walks to the Cat park down behind the fort because my Kid was obsessed.  But most of our day was taken up with a UTV tour that started at the big mall about 20 minutes outside of Old San Juan, so we need to get back an explore the town itself a little more! I LOVE cookies and not sure how I never ended up at Drunken cookie!

I’m not sure what would possess one to be up before 7am on a cruise. Insomnia ? Help it make sense!

More hours to eat (and definitely some insomnia in my case). Super quiet, peaceful ship and a sunrise are nice too.

^^^^ this!

Bingo! Sometimes, it’s nice to get up when the ship is really quiet, grab a coffee, and leisurely walk around. I let my wife sleep in.

I also love to take photos during this time… the lighting (especially outdoors) is usually great and the lack of crowds makes for better ship pics! 📷 I can usually enter all venues and restaurants and even if I see a crew member, they’re friendly and do not care that I’m there taking pics.

It’s also nice knowing you have the whole day ahead of you! 😃

And they come out great! As I’m posting almost nothing but food/drink pics in my blogs I do think to myself that I wish I was more of a picture taker but it’s just never been my thing. Fortunately we have posters like you & others to actually see the ship.

Until very recently, I worked at 3am so even on vacation, my body was still waking up by 5 at the latest. NOW I go in at 5, so hoping my body gives me the same two hour extension on vacation and lets me sleep in until 7. But I can tell you that I do enjoy walking around the ship when no one else is there, just like the other guys said- Plus I grab my "first breakfast" by myself, then at like 10 when the family wakes up, I'm ready to eat again!

Well I’m sure I’d love the serenity of walking around the ship at sunrise too. It’s just physically impossible to be up this early when the blackout curtains are drawn and that room is dark and cool as a cave. It’s just too perfect of sleeping conditions. God bless you all though.

Oooo I love that feeling too! My wife always complains that the cabin is too cold... no such thing! 🤣

Getting to the Windjammer before all the yutes hog the line and start eating at the food station with their who the hell knows where they've been dirty hands and then their parents not controlling them and then actually being able to find a seat in the WJ.
