Nice to see that Allure still has the tiki glasses at Pesky Parrot. They had them on Utopia last June but when we went back in July I never saw any. We got friendly with a bartender and she told us too many people were treating them as free souvenirs. WAAAYTOOO and Ogilthorpe 1 1 Quote

Definitely not the Zombie, that's not frozen... it also tastes awful (@Lovetocruise2002 warned me but I'll try anything once with a voucher). The Painchiller is supposed to have nutmeg sprinkled on top (it's a frozen version of a Painkiller which is on the standard bar menu and served the same way) so don't think that one either. I don't remember the colors of the others but a couple were more citrus flavored. It could be a Peanut Butter Pina. Guess we'll find out once @InmyElement takes a break from the fun and sometimes hectic nature of embarkation day. BTW, I love that your wife added it to the list without knowing what it even is. Woohoo…it has been hectic but a fun hectic…finally got the balcony connection open looks like just an Allen key… The drink was choice #1 Painchiller (frozen) On the second voucher…you all know what this is…how convenient I had to come up here anyway to switch our dinner reservations…it’s pretty empty and really nice! I could get use to this.. Already unpacked and starting to move MaryS, asquared17, OCSC Mike and 10 others 2 11 Quote

I liked it much better than the one on Wonder. Also, there are THREE entrances/exits... one near the bar and stage (back right in pic), one on the port side (main entrance to restaurant), and one from an interior corridor (back of restaurant)... You can just make out the exit to the aft of the ship (near the Crown Lounge and overlooking the Boardwalk)... ... The bar on Wonder... This is the port side entrance to the restaurant on Allure... Looking straight ahead as you enter... ... looking left into the restaurant... and the THIRD entrance (white doors on the right in the back... access from interior corridor). Not heavily used. ... looking to the right from the entrance... ... stage is back, right corner as you enter restaurant and look right... bar entrance/exit is just to the left of the stage... ... you can kind of make out the aft entrance by the bar and stage on the far left... Crown Lounge is the entrance with the blue in the center... Ogilthorpe, InmyElement, SweetPea and 4 others 6 1 Quote

InmyElement Posted January 4 Author Report Posted January 4 Captain’s Log – 0552 hours Running behind schedule… again. CL is being kind with the coffee genie, but since Mrs. InMyElement is already up, I’m running coffee IVs back to the cabin until room service deploys at 0630. I fully expected the cake to be a dud...wrong. Shockingly moist, and that “flowery” outer coating? Edible chocolate. Big hit. Even C-man..who won't remember most of last night..apparently stole a slice during the late-night shenanigans. Nobody to the infirmary on Day One… a solid win. thanks to @asquared17 wisdom.. Trisha wasn’t feeling up to MDR, so she stayed in while we all scattered. C-man explored, and B-man disappeared for the rest of the night..pretty sure he found the 18–25 crowd. I did not sleep as soundly knowing they were roaming free. just me.. Hit the Solarium pool for a reset last evening..completely empty. Hot tubs...Packed! Surprisingly, not too many 'yutes' so far… mostly college age, which makes sense with break. Though Trisha did get scolded on the Promenade by a scooter commander with a loud 'Watch where you’re going!' Random pics attached. Loving Allure so far. She's a little worn, but beautiful as I love oasis class..C-man was straight up dancing last night..first balcony and connecting cabins. The joy was real…for him.. questionable for me..lol Sea day today… zero plans, which is the plan Meat City (aka Samba) tonight and Origami…or whatever today.. The extent of my exercise by 7:30am (or the whole cruise tbh) is walking the length of the ship to get to the CL and back to our cabin by the forward elevators and I’m still in my 40’s. That probably says more about me than you though. Hope it went well! JohnK6404, InmyElement, WAAAYTOOO and 3 others 3 1 1 1 Quote
Ampurp85 Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 I have been able to get donuts twice......on the same sailing......and I have sailed Allure four times. Had a solid ropeless run…honestly my best ever..right up until gravity reminded me who’s in charge. Bit my tongue, tweaked my neck and shoulders..had to use a towel to stop the bleeding from my tongue..lol..totally worth it! B-man finally surfaced at 1400 hours.. he joined the rest of the crew and went to candy sushi making..definitely more for laughs than learning with that crew of knuckleheads. I wisely skipped. Spent a good 30 minutes tracking down the 'Spa Cafe'… only to learn it now lives inside Sorrento’s. Same counter. Same space. Who approved that logic?? I’ve got some neck issues, nothing serious, but I can wake up in pain from sleeping funny. This is why I’ve never done the Abyss. I’m not afraid of heights or slides, love roller coasters, but I’m 100% convinced that I’d tweak something & then be annoyed the rest of the cruise, lol. 8 minutes ago, InmyElement said: Spent a good 30 minutes tracking down the 'Spa Cafe'… only to learn it now lives inside Sorrento’s. Since I was already there, I had to grab a slice and I gotta say, pretty good I think they started doing this in various locations depending on the ship. I believe it’s at the bar in Spotlight Karaoke on Utopia in the morning (which makes more sense b/c the venue would otherwise be closed until later). Sorrento’s is an odd choice but since you got pizza that way, sounds like a win-win to me. Ogilthorpe, InmyElement, WAAAYTOOO and 1 other 4 Quote

Still a little sore, but the drink vouchers are doing their job today After last night’s meat train I swear I felt a gluten attack coming on, so I managed a solid run/walk instead. Love that track on Deck 5..Oasis class nailed that one. And I hear you on the shift work! B-man works from home as a consultant and basically runs his own hours… mostly all night. Nothing like seeing him in the kitchen wearing a dress shirt with pajama pants for meetings He missed the whole “office life” thanks to covid, but the gym and friends keep him balanced..and he definitely thrived away at college. 7 hours ago, SweetPea said: sometimes we'd be up at 5, just in time for happy hour.
