Scotsman Posted October 14, 2025 Report Posted October 14, 2025 As part of our pre-cruise festivities, we’ll be spending a couple of nights in Tampa. Since we’re traveling from Colorado, we wanted to extend the vacation a bit and enjoy the area. Before booking accommodations, we consulted the guide to cruising from Tampa and ultimately chose the Embassy Suites by Hilton Downtown. We’ll be traveling with several children ranging in age from 4 to 11, so we’re looking for family-friendly activities and dining options. We’ve already spotted some great attractions like the children’s museum, aquarium, and nearby parks. However, we’d love to hear about any hidden gems that might not be as well known—especially those that are fun for kids. We’re also on the lookout for good restaurants in the area that cater to families. Any recommendations? Thank you WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote
TessFromFlorida Posted October 14, 2025 Report Posted October 14, 2025 I would suggest the Florida Aquarium and Busch Gardens. The Columbia is a great restaurant. St. Pete beaches are nice if you want a beach day, we avoid Clearwater beach- a bit too crowded. With kids I would do a pirate cruise. The children's museum in St. Pete is fun as is the one in downtown Tampa. bcarney, WAAAYTOOO and Scotsman 1 2 Quote
