We’re (not so) patiently waiting to see the 2027 European itineraries and Transatlantic options.  This year was a bust due to health issues… we had to move three cruises. One of them I lost out on altogether…my wife is going with her sister instead  🙁

better be some big shakeups

things are stale

I agree. I do wish there was some randomization to ships & itineraries (yes, I understand there are limitations). I'd really like to go on a Quantum-class out of Florida.

(Not so) patiently waiting for Europe

Shortly after we got back from our Odyssey cruise last month my wife said "Let's not do Norway in 2027 but go to Barcelona and the Med again" which is fine by me as we had the most wonderful time so Legend is looking like it will be it for September 2027.  If we go that route I might switch out my plans on Legend for January 2027 and do a different ship.

We are also planning to do a cruise in November/December 2027 to celebrate both my wife and I's 50th birthdays along with whatever friends we can recruit.  Gonna do Perfect Day Mexico and live it up.

I'm waiting to see what Norway brings. The wife and I found a Celebrity Norway Cruise for 2027 we really liked so we will see if Royal has anything we like. *secretly hoping for a quantum class ship!

More Test Loads...

Adventure - PTC.jpg

Freedom - MIA.jpg

Harmony - PTC.jpg

Jewel - FLL.jpg

Radiance - TPA.jpg

Star - PTC.jpg

Utopia - PTC.jpg

Wonder - MIA.jpg

@Southern DanI find it interesting that Adventure will leave PC for FLL in 2026 then return in 2027 to do shorter sailings by the look of it…also no Icon as a test load?  Makes me wonder if it’s going somewhere else?  I know these won’t be the only ships sailing the Caribbean, but seems interesting.  Thoughts?

My thoughts are it's too early to tell as these test loads are only for summer 2027.  I agree with the speculation that Icon will move it's homeport to Galveston to coincide with the launch of Perfect Day Mexico in the fall of 2027 and Icon IV will take her place in Miami.  Makes too much sense for it not to happen.

I can see Icon moving to Texas.  Bayley didn't say it yet he did.  "If I was a betting man".  Enough said.

The increasing number of 4/5 ships makes a lot of sense.  All those newbie who loved their 3/4 experience want something longer but not all of them can do the jump all the way to 7 nights.  The 4/5 captures some of the newbie biz plus some returning guests and delivers them to PDM.  Loyal guests who don't want to fly just for 3 night might for 5 night just to experience PDM.  As a working person the 4/5 that leave midweek are kind of cool since it's only two days off work, then the weekend so minimum impact to banked PTO.

Kind of perfect really.

Have you ever noticed that Carnival and NCL have placed brand new ships in Galveston. But Royal has not?

At those prices, I sincerely hope that's a test.

Not test loads.

I was able to make it through booking process until payment portal.

credit card didn’t work for total cruise price….

They're still test loads. That's why there are so few listed. Until the full calendar is released, they're test loads.

People have reported being able to book them before.

Seasonal Caribbean now delayed

Is "Seasonal Caribbean" specifically the ships that summer in Europe or does it include ships that spent time ANYWHERE else that year (i.e. Alaska, New England, etc)?

Seasonal could include anything that doesn't have the same home port for the full year.

An example of a ship that is not seasonal would be Star which is based in Port Canaveral for the whole year.

However no category uses an exact mathematical equation to define which ships belong.  Anything that doesn't obviously fall into any category could end up in any category, or not.

I’m thinking those prices are high for short sailings on those older ships.   I really like cruising and I’m afraid I may not be able to afford to cruise my usual way, but won’t stop cruising.  Interior here I come.
