I'd love to know too...I know that Allure had bearings issues in one of it's azipods...I'd love to know if this is a revisit of that. I'm hoping Nick Weir does another video like they did for Allure's last visit to the Freeport dry dock. The 2018 repair, next week, is to replace a damaged propeller. How did it get damaged? Who knows, there's a lot of crap floating out there in the open ocean. twangster Posted January 18, 2018 Report Share Posted January 18, 2018 My guess is a shipping container. They fall off cargo ships from time to time. Apparently one propellor blade was dinged. The imbalance and bent blade caused a lot of vibration and issues. They cut off some metal to make it more streamlined but now it wasn't balanced. The result was speed restrictions causing the high speed run to St Kitts to be impossible. This caused itinerary updates. Western Caribbean routes don't need the high speed leg so they were okay. Cez Posted January 24, 2018 Report Share Posted January 24, 2018 We’ve disembark from AOS this Sunday – crew members was very happy with week off in Bahamas . Most of casino stuff are planning to take few weeks off and then restart on Symphony. However, we have experienced bumpy ride compared to the previous cruises. I was wondering if damaged propeller caused that because we had relatively good weather. Unfortunately, I‘ve missed meeting with officers so could not confirm my suspicions.
