Rory Posted July 17, 2025 Report Posted July 17, 2025 I just made reservations for the shows for my Icon sailing in 10/11/25. There was not an option to reserve Effectors. I saw on a Cruise Compass that this show did not need reservations. For anyone that has sailed Icon, is this what you experienced? Thanks for the assistance! Quote
octaviocloss Posted July 18, 2025 Report Posted July 18, 2025 We sail on September 26th on icon and i couldt see Effectors either. Maybe it was already fully booked when we reserved the cruise Quote
jbrinkm Posted April 9 Report Posted April 9 Reviving this thread to ask if there is any new information about reservations for Effectors? My shows opened up for reservations and everything was there except Effectors. In the latest Cruise Compasses, it still displays as a listed show but no way to make reservations. Is this something that might happen once on board, should I keep checking for it, or might we have to just show up for it? Quote

Is this something that might happen once on board, should I keep checking for it, or might we have to just show up for it? TL;DR - Effectors does not take reservations. First come, first served. We were on IC on March 21 and not only were there no reservations offered for Effectors, but there was exactly 1 show the entire 7 days....which they do NOT publicize well at ALL I actually enjoy the Effectors, Crash and Burn, but to be brutally honest, The Original Effectors on IC was a STINKER. To be fair, we never actually saw the end of the show (if it even actually ever finished....we don't know b/c we didn't bother staying around until the end) as there were at least 2 major technical interruptions during the performance. After #2, we got up and left as did most everyone else. It was just NOT a good show. The singers were terrible and the story was hard to follow (not a big surprise as most of the "homemade" shows that Royal does have no real plot) but this one was supposed to explain how the Effectors came to be. I still have no idea how they came to be. If you want to try and see the show, just be sure you check out the paper that they leave in your cabin that shows the dates and locations of all of the shows. If it hadn't been for that paper, we would not have even known there WAS an Effector show. Ogilthorpe 1 Quote

It has pretty regularly been on the day 6 (Thursday) in the Cruise Compasses that I've seen so I booked other entertainment around that day so we'll see. There's other things to do if we end up walking out as well... WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote

Ampurp85 Posted April 9 Report Posted April 9 I was on the fence about Effectors on Icon. There was two shows on my Jan Icon cruise and several people walked out . In fact it never filled up, so reservations wouldn't have even been needed. I found it to be too dry and jut overall a meh. But I have seen worse shows so I didn't leave. jbrinkm Posted April 26 Report Posted April 26 An FYI update - they moved the 3pm Wizard of Oz to 1pm on day 2/Sunday/first sea day, at least for my July cruise. I had reservations for the 3pm and got an email saying it had been moved. Quote
