JohnK6404 Posted July 13 Report Posted July 13 Quick question! I know we cannot pre-book lunch in the CP when we have the UDP. If we want to book lunch for embarkation day, what do we do? Should I book it and pay for it in the CP a-la-carte... would they refund the cost once onboard in OBC once they see we have the UDP? Just curious how folks have been dealing with the lunches especially on embarkation day. Thanks so much! Quote

Actually, you should be able to book embarkation lunch in the CP...having said that, I know some people are having issues with ANY day 1 rezzies. I was able to book boarding day lunch on 2 upcoming Grandeur sailings (both next month) but so far have been unable to book any day 1 rezzies for any of my more "distant" cruises....meaning pretty much anything in 2026. For unexplained reasons, day 1 just isn't bookable. I think that will change as the time draws nearer...I guess we'll see. In the meantime, if your cruise is coming up sometime in the near future and if you still don't see that time slot available, you may just have to wait until you're onboard. My experience is that there is never an issue with getting a reservation for boarding day lunch...particularly close to noon. Oftentimes we are the only ones there.... I don't think you need to book ahead and then try and get it refunded...that's just a major PITA. Just show up. They will take you.... OCSC Mike, JustMeJoe, Ampurp85 and 2 others 3 2 Quote

I just noticed specialty dining lunch options are still not available in the CP just yet. This is for the JAN 2026 sailing. Once they populate in the CP, I'll check again! Duh on my part! Ampurp85 Posted July 13 Report Posted July 13 I sail Icon in Jan B2B, I have the UDP for the first leg and have everything but day 1 booked. I suspect when it gets closer I will be able to book. JohnK6404, Ryan79 and WAAAYTOOO 2 1 Quote
OCSC Mike Posted July 14 Report Posted July 14 Similar day 1 issues for our March Utopia B2B although just recently it will let me book Chops for dinner… nothing else though. I’m also still waiting for lunch on certain days to become available. Needless to say, it’s being screwy & will likely be fixed at some point as others have said. WAAAYTOOO and JohnK6404 1 1 Quote
JohnK6404 Posted July 16 Author Report Posted July 16 Update! Lunch is open in the CP as of this afternoon! That was fast! Of course, not for Embarkation Day... will have to monitor! They are "stuffed" on Day 1... Day 2 and the other 5 sea days... good to go! OCSC Mike and WAAAYTOOO 1 1 Quote

Haven’t been checking since we’re at sea but the missing lunch day for our March B2B is also open now. Just waiting for the day one’s like everyone else now. Will also re-think plans when we get home now that we’ve tried the UDP & new restaurants. JohnK6404 and WAAAYTOOO 2 Quote
Dive Barrister Posted November 2 Report Posted November 2 Doing the UDP for the first time on our upcoming (11/13) Vision of the Seas cruise. Question: is embarkation day considered a "sea day" as far as the included UPD lunches (terms and conditions say lunch is included "on sea days")? When I go into the website or the app to make reservations under my UDP package, lunches are listed for every day of the cruise - not just the sea days, so I have no clue whether to buy the precruise embarkation day discounted lunch price for Day or whether to just make the reservation and take the chance we'd get charged full price when the restaurant brings the check. Help?!? TIA for any responses! Jan T., Harrisburg PA Quote

Embarkation day is not technically a sea day, but the UDP follows if the restaurant is open, it's included. You should be able to go into your dining plan and modify it to add an embarkation day lunch. You will get a $0 bill at the end of the meal. WAAAYTOOO, Dive Barrister, JohnK6404 and 1 other 3 1 Quote
JohnK6404 Posted November 3 Author Report Posted November 3 ... checking every day! LOL! We are now 73 days out and still not open for booking lunch on embarkation day! Will keep checking! WAAAYTOOO and OCSC Mike 1 1 Quote

Are we having fun yet? JohnK6404 1 Quote

I must have typed it into existence... the missing embarkation day finally showed up this morning. Hope your lunches pop up soon @JohnK6404! JohnK6404 1 Quote
