Btcruiser Posted July 7, 2025 Report Posted July 7, 2025 We have never done any spa services but were wondering if you should always book in advance or if you can get discounts if you wait to do it on board? Thinking if maybe they are slower they may throw an enticing number at you on a port day. Quote
Pattycruise Posted July 8, 2025 Report Posted July 8, 2025 Go to the spa raffle on day 1-embarkation day. Throw in a raffle ticket and you may win a service or $$ off. It has been my experience they also do a managers special that is about $159 and includes “x” minutes of a massage and potentially other items that escape me. I did a back to back to back recently and the managers special changed each week. You could tell the week they were desperate to sell because it wasn’t only offered for port days AND they offered more extras with the massage. Seeing how those offers varied week to week in the same shop I’m sure they vary from ship to ship too. used to be on sailings where the spa wasn’t s selling a lot you’d see some mid week offers, again that would vary by sailings. Rory86 Posted July 9, 2025 Report Posted July 9, 2025 Agree to wait until you're onboard to book. In addition to better pricing, I've also had an experience where my pre-cruise massage booking was somehow lost in cyberspace. I had the confirmation in email and on the app, but that didn't help me since the spa did not have a massage therapist available for the appointment. Stuff happens, but it took a bit more work to get a refund than it should have. I'd of course leverage the spa again, but I'll always book on board. Btcruiser 1 Quote
lori74 Posted July 9, 2025 Report Posted July 9, 2025 Great question, I've been wondering if I want to book ahead of time. You can look at Cruise compasses to get an idea of the specials offered. I've only been to 1 raffle, at the end they gave coupons for things. Quote
Mturk Posted July 10, 2025 Report Posted July 10, 2025 As Pattycruise said, I go to the raffle on Day 1 and see what the manager special is that day. Usually they will offer a 75 minute massage for the price of a 50 minute one and may throw in hot stones or bamboo treatment. Downside is that you need to do it on Day 1 or 2. If the spa is experiencing a slow week you may find a message on the phone in your room saying that your name was selected from the raffle box and get a $50 off another spa treatment. Quote
CrimsonCruiser Posted July 11, 2025 Report Posted July 11, 2025 agreeing as well the this is one of the areas where waiting to book on board is better. there's also usually discounts when you book multiple services (10, 20 30% off the more you book) and the specials are only on board. I usually book whatever combo massage special they have because its a great deal (a massage, mini facial, and some other pampering thing usually) and around $129-149 if i recall correctly. Quote

My wife has started getting a massage on embarkation day and we have found that the pre-cruise sale price has beaten what was offered once we were onboard (even factoring in Diamond discounts/offers) and by booking ahead of time she has a time slot saved for her. Of course, she is just doing a "standard" massage, so your experience may vary. Maybe you could book ahead of time, then if the price is better on board, cancel it for the OBC then use the OBC to pay for the service? Not sure if this would work or not, but maybe someone else does. Good Luck! Pattycruise 1 Quote
whitsmom Posted July 11, 2025 Report Posted July 11, 2025 We have some good pricing for our March 2026 Transatlantic cruise to pre-book. I have pre-booked before and never had any issues whatsoever. Quote
