We ordered Giovanni’s and I kept it simple with their soup and spaghetti and I was able to eat it all and keep it down. Finished off with a ranger cookie for dessert! Great! Given that it was our first time with the UDP and how much I enjoy my food, I was very happy that my one night of not feeling well wasn't during the UDP half of last month's cruise or I would have been pretty upset. OCSC Mike Posted August 20 Report Posted August 20 I know I'm the weirdo who just had Chops for the first time last month (on Utopia) but I really enjoyed my meal... except for the ribeye which was average at best and not nearly as good as any of the filets I've had at Giovanni's, CK, or the Beach Club (and I usually prefer ribeye to filet). I really liked the pretzel rolls, goat cheese salad, bacon app, multiple potato-based sides, and the red velvet cake. My wife thought it was OK (I am never using the word "mid", sorry, lol) but didn't love it b/c she also preferred all the other filets to her Chops filet and she was pretty much limited to Caesar salad as far as apps due to pickiness. All that said, I still prefer GK and MJ, our usual go-to specialties, so Chops will likely only be an UDP meal for us. Ampurp85, Jax and WAAAYTOOO 3 Quote

Lovetocruise2002 Posted August 20 Author Report Posted August 20 Some things I forgot to note because I couldn’t get on my phone much: The Crown Lounge has now relocated to Deck 16 aft, port side. According to the concierge, it has only been open there for a few weeks. It is nicer with the windows, but for me, I prefer it on Deck 4. It’s nice to run into there before a show to grab a drink. Poor Hubby tried to go make me some tea yesterday and said they took the CL away. He went to Deck 4. It’s literally on his way to the wave each day as it’s right next to the port side sports deck door. Also, at one point during the day yesterday, D17 went to grab some disposable cups for me from the CL and they did ask to see her card, even though she got in the door with her card. asquared17, Sweety, ScottishRobbie and 5 others 3 1 4 Quote

Lovetocruise2002 Posted August 21 Author Report Posted August 21 This afternoon we got off the ship for a bit in St. Thomas. There was a ton of seaweed that washed up. The smell wasn’t great either. Came back and did some reading. Back to Mason Jar for dinner. I have never tried the chicken pot pie before, I liked it. Would probably order it again. They did have Mississippi Moonlight tonight. We had the same waiter as boarding day and he brought me two lol. I finished both. Love that drink! D19 got the peach tea again. After dinner we went to the ice show. You know I’ll find something anywhere & don’t mind the WJ but when we had the UDP on Utopia, it was really nice that GK and Izumi in the Park were open for lunch on Nassau days. Can’t remember how early ELF opened but I feel like it was fairly early for a port day. Totally understandable why many/most people wouldn’t want to do the shorty B2B’s but if you sail for the ship there are little hidden benefits like that. Sweety 1 Quote
