Thumper44 Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 @Matt, I don't know if you've done theCruiseGlobe thing yet, but I hope you do and please share it.  Those of us who haven't cruised as much need something to aspire to!  Please take a few screen shots of your globe and let us see your total stats.  We're dying to know what it looks like  And I'd like to see other people's globe as well! cedricmr, CruzOnBye, PPPJJ-GCVAB and 1 other 4 Quote
Thumper44 Posted May 9 Author Report Posted May 9 Here's mine; we've been painting the Miami-to-Cozumel part of the map. Interestingly, viewing the map makes me want to connect the dots and extend the lines. Â I suddenly feel compelled to do a Panama Canal transit and branch out to a trans-Atlantic and also Hawaii and Alaska cruises. CruzOnBye 1 Quote

Lovetocruise2002 Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 I need to get on this too! Looks so cool! I have always wanted to see something like this. Edit: boo....no stats for any sailing prior to 2015... WAAAYTOOO and Chili 1 1 Quote
Southern Dan Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 A bulk of my cruises were prior to 2015 so I was also bummed out about that too. Quote
Matt Posted May 10 Report Posted May 10 I have played with it, it's a very neat idea! When Emma told me about it, I checked it out and it's a fun idea. Watching the ship replays is quite satisfying Thumper44 and RCIfan1912 2 Quote

Yeah, before 2015 there wasn't satellite data available. Â But they are trying to work around that and give approximate routes. Â They're also adding river cruises and, eventually, future cruises. twangster Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 Kind of disappointing there are some gaps in their database for many cruises in between 2016 and 2025. Some common routes too, it's not all of those were on obscure ships in weird places. Dozen plus cruises didn't compute for them.  Cool idea, poor execution.  SPS and WAAAYTOOO 2 Quote

I'm not even bothering to look up mine it would be so boring (although we don't mind). I'd have one random Seward-Vancouver line and a bunch of overlapping loops around the Bahamas and Caribbean. I think it was from this cruise, which was a one way overnight on a baltic cruise ferry from Tallinn to Stockholm, that had like a quick little 'technical stop' in the middle of the night for, I assume, some sort of duty-free loophole.
