DisneyWorld30th Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 Hi there - We're sailing on the Icon of the Seas in two weeks and have a question about activites like Ice Skating, Laser Tag, etc. I have never sailed on Icon but have sailed on numerous Oasis Class ships. On the Oasis class ships, the activities I mentioned above cannot be book ahead of time. They typically are not bookable until you get on the ship. Is this the same for Icon? Any additional info you might have would be great.! Quote
Ampurp85 Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 While I have not sailed Icon. The general consensus is that if you don't see the option to book in the app or CP, it has to be booked once onboard. Icon may be a new/different class but most of Royal's rules still apply. Quote
barjpoe Posted March 31 Report Posted March 31 The Ice Rink is a bit hard to get to. Have to go through Playmakers on Deck 6 then down the stairs to deck 5. Quote
rjac Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 Icon requires you wear socks and long pants. They recommend elbow and knee pads if you have them. We were on the Icon last week and saw the Ice Rink, it was chilly! Quote

It's almost second nature to the hockey player. It's normal in their movements on the ice. Tell your hockey player to temper his expectations. It is unique though to be ice skating while out to sea!
