RCIfan1912 Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 Well we finally paid off our first back to back in May. I mean its two short cruises to make a back to back. Liberty from NJ to Halifax 4 days then Bermuda 5 days. Excited to see how a back to back works. Hope we have a bit of time once we re-board to an empty ship. We have the same room for both. Anyone specifically do a back to back from NJ? joshgates, Tropix, Sweety and 13 others 14 2 Quote
rjac Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 Congrats on your first back to back. We have done a lot and we love the B2B in the same cabin just be sure to tell your cabin attendant before the first cruise ends. The best part is the night before the first cruise debarkation in the hallway to your cabin. That's the night you have to put your luggage outside of your room and you won't have to. Also, you should have some time to enjoy an empty ship. RCIfan1912, KristiZ, teddy and 5 others 6 2 Quote
WAAAYTOOO Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 Congrats on the B2B. There is nothing better….well FEW things better….than the feeling, on the last night, that you don’t have to get off the next day ! ckruetze, JimnKathy, Zeashore and 8 others 8 1 1 1 Quote

This is a good be an interesting experience! I like the idea is going North to one of my favorite places Canada and then South to a another favorite place, Bermuda. teddy, WAAAYTOOO and Sweety 3 Quote
Ampurp85 Posted March 3 Report Posted March 3 I love a B2B or S2S because that means extra days of cruising. IDK if you will have internet for both cruises but be advised it will shut off at 10am embarkation day. Check with your steward and make sure they know you are staying. It will be hit or miss if they allow you back in the room before the decks are open. If they have a B2B'ers lunch, take advantage as it will be a respite from the masses on embarkation day. We do have Internet for both cruises. We will be back in NJ so our regular phone service will be working again. I'm not too concerned about getting back into our cabin but would be nice. I use hope to explore the ship with minimal people. That's would be kinda fun. I guess nothing will be open. I kinda hope they do have a B2B lunch. That sounds like fun. WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote

Gilley Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 That sounds really nice. I’m planning to try one in the near future when I retire as a retirement gift to myself. May even do Cape Liberty to eliminate flying. Enjoy your B2B. RCIfan1912 and Ampurp85 1 1 Quote

I think Royal does 11 and 12 day cruises a few times a year from Cape Liberty. Sweety and Ampurp85 2 Quote
Zeashore Posted March 4 Report Posted March 4 We did our first B2B out of Cape Liberty. Loved it - we had to change cabins though... not a biggie. We did have a nice lunch. It was in a roped off section of the MDR. The only ick was the parking charge in the garage. Still, it was worth it; being away on a tropical cruise while the winter winds blew back home. Have fun. You will love it. Sweety, PhillyLady, RCIfan1912 and 1 other 3 1 Quote

If you end up liking it you can start looking for cruises like I am taking in April. There are hundreds of us doing B2B2B starting in Singapore and ending up in Alaska. 35 days on the Anthem of the Seas; relaxing and enjoying life. fireclan, RCIfan1912 and JimnKathy 3 Quote

JustUs275 Posted March 5 Report Posted March 5 I am looking forward to our first B2B next February! We were able to book the same cabin for both sailings and are hopeful for a B2B lunch, mostly so we can more easily find an empty table on an embarkation day! RCIfan - be sure to come back and let us know your experience. WAAAYTOOO and RCIfan1912 1 1 Quote

I wanted to do it last year but didn't. This year we both agreed to do it. I showed my wife and she loved to the idea. We loved the idea of a B2B also just to see how it all worked. A 9 day cruise is a pretty good length. Quote

We go to PDCC, Labadee, and Western Caribbean on Explorer. Our adult daughter, SIL, and another couple/friends will be on the first sailing with us...they are a bit jealous that we will be staying on the ship when they disembark! Ahhhh, retirement does have its benefits! Hahaha SpicyCherry, WAAAYTOOO and RCIfan1912 1 2 Quote
