ZinzMat
Has anyone gone on this excursion recently? We're sailing on harmony in 5 days and I'm wondering if I need to pack sneakers. I'm more worried about terrain than amount of walking (I wear flip flops to Disney where we walk 20+ miles per day). Is there any climbing involved? This would be the only reason I'd need sneakers, and I'd rather not give up precious suit case space ?
arebee
Never been on it but usually in the description it would tell you if you needed shoes. If you wanted to save space, you could wear your sneakers on board and pack your flip flops. Or put them in a carry on.
tiny260
I would say walking mostly, but if you want to climb to the top of any of the temples they are steep, so I would say shoes required. I consider myself in pretty good shape but the climb was hard.

Stephanie
How was your experience? We are going to Cozumel in March and I was looking to book this. My hubby is not a beach guy. Thought this might be interesting, as we've seen documentaries on it on the History Channel. Is it worth the cost? And did you book through Royal? Susie
Interesting on this trip. The stop at Cozumel on my upcoming cruise on Symphony has the excursion to Chichen Itza. Anyone took the trip? How is it?
