I’m curios to see site photos or hear additional rumors about the new beach club in Nassau.  The official Royal Caribbean web site for the beach club says it is opening in summer 2025 but a Royal Caribbean September 13th meeting (Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation (BCCEC) Power Brunch hosted by Royal Caribbean International) quoted “late 2025” as opening date.

this seems to have a few renderings and even a map

Yes, that was the link I put in my original post.  Thanks for Matt’s photos and blog article.  Also really appreciate the new November photos shared by @Southern Dan.  We will be in Nassau in November 2025 and was hoping the beach club would be open.  Since the expected opening dates have already been pushed recently from summer to “late 2025” I’m not holding on to much hope but perhaps things will pick up.

Interestingly, I have been on 21 cruises to the Caribbean and the only time I have been to Nassau was for an emergency Med evac. I always hear people talk about being sick of Nassau but I've never been.

That being said, the feeling people have about Nassau is probably exactly how I feel about Cabo as I cruise primarily on the West Coast.

Until they trot out a $200 entrance fee.

You can bet with the royalties that need to be paid to the Bahamas government that the entry price will upset many people. I’m guessing $80-$100/ per adult but wouldn’t be surprised if a basic ticket was more.

If Coco Cay Beach Club can run $150 or more with 1 food option and no included alcohol, then I don't know how the new one can be cheaper than that.

Yep, it probably will be much higher. I wonder how they deal with the people who purchased the beverage package? Maybe they discount since alcohol would already be included?

The unique setup here is that it'll be owned and operated by the Bahamas and be open to Bahamas residents, too, not just RC passengers. It wouldn't surprise me if your DBP is useless there.

I wonder if the same people who are upset at Mexicos $42 tax per passenger will be equally upset if the Bahamas “new tourism levy” is in that same $40-50 price range?

My guess for admission to this Beach Club? They’ll price this like Coco Cay excursions; meaning boats like Icon, Star, and Oasis class pay the most money, about $500 per passenger. Small boat pricing will start about $400 per person. And increased pricing from there during the most popular cruising months.

I'll go with $249. A lot more day to day expenses and overhead since RC isn't running this show.

$249 would be a a risky move but not out of the question. There are other options (all inclusive) for $100 less per person in the surrounding area. I wonder if they go with the access band and give passengers a choice (with or w/o alcohol) at a reduced price?

stay on the ship

For the frugal among us... that will continue to be me. Perfectly content lounging in the Solarium, using vouchers, and making food runs on port days when the ship isn't crowded.

I'm sure others will pay for and enjoy the new beach club, leaving the ship even less crowded for those of us with no interest... so I see it as a win-win.

The beach clubs on Cozumel, which are all inclusive, are less than $100 per person. I don't see anything in the amenities write up that would justify $149 PP. We will only go to Hideaway on PDCC if it is $50 or less PP. $300 per couple no thanks! I'd be surprised if they could fill the place outside of the 1st few days at that price.

For the curious, I based my high estimate on the following. Royal likes to price a day of a DBP at $80. They need to transport every one to and from the island so I’ll call that $20. Then they are feeding everyone at about the cost of a Giovani’s dinner for $45 or so. Add in  some overhead and profit margin and I easily see $200.

Then we add the Bahamas 50% on top of whatever that Royal number is and Shazam! three hundo could be a real low ball number.

This “tourism levy” will be no small number either. From the viewpoint of a Bahamaian standing on a street corner on Front street;  the ships are too big, the passengers too numerous and the Bahamas is comparatively being exploited as to all the wealth that goes on inside those oh! so many boats. The politicians see this street corner view too, and doing the simplest math 5 million cruisers a year multiplied by $50 bucks a head (which is absolutely in line with other counties visa costs) creates $250M in revenue a year for doing the exact same thing they already do. That’s easy legislation for anyone to sign their name on.

$249 on average sounds right to me with everything that's included. Royal also loves their sales, so most people would end up paying between $125-$175 pp most likely. And, of course, they can always change the non-discounted price based on the ship, itinerary, time of year, customer demographics sailing, etc. So maybe the MSRP will range from $199 to $299.
