MoonMan81 Posted September 20, 2024 Report Posted September 20, 2024 Hello all, Tempted to put in a Royal Up bid for a "Ultra Spacious Ocean View with Large Balcony". From Googling, i think this is a category 1A. Where can I find where these are all located on Utopia? I had a look online and saw about 5 or 6 of them in a row on deck 11 Aft. Are there more? I dont wish to be fully Aft or fully Fwd, nor the floor below the pool deck. I'm currently happy with the room I am in (Ocean View Balcony), but temped by a RoyalUp! Any help would be appreciated. That is 1A and they are all on deck 11. There are some mid deck, right next to the FWD elevators. (11158 through 11172) Obviously you could end up in any of them, but honestly, those are the only ones I see, and don't see them on the aft part of the ship on that deck. MoonMan81 1 Quote

smokeybandit Posted September 20, 2024 Report Posted September 20, 2024 This is a good site to refer to about cabin category locations on ships https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/Utopia-of-the-Seas Quote

I've seen that category advertised many times. It just occurred to me that how much time did Royal marketeers spend on the category name. They could have called it a Large Balcony with a Ultra Wide Ocean View" since the large balcony contributes the ocean view, or does the room itself due to its location (which is related to your question) contribute the the Ultra spacious Ocean view? To me spacious refers to volume or size of the room and not a field of view. A large balcony would definitely contribute to an ocean wide field of view if located in the right place on the ship. Excuse the distractive rant - I think spacious a peculiar word to use with a view. Quote
