Preferred method of transportation to port Canaveral

For those of you who sailed from port Canaveral,  what was your choice of transportation from hotels to the port.

Hotel shuttle (assuming you're staying in the Canaveral area).

If you are going from the airport to the port, then I would recommend

Private shuttle if you can afford it...nice ride, comfy and stops where you want....

 

If not, then only other option really is the shared shuttle service which is the cheaper option and stops at most of the hotels. If you are going the shuttle option, you may want to look at which hotels have a package deal for the hotel/shuttle

We have sailed out of Port Canaveral  3 or 4 times and have stayed at the Radisson the night before and caught their shuttle to the port and back.   The last time was this last June and it didnt work out so well.   The port had 3 or 4 cruise ships leaving at the same time so the wait at the hotel catching the shuttle was not good.  My daughter had uber on her phone and we ended up skipping the shuttle and doing uber.  The total from the hotel to ship was $12 for four of us and our luggage and that included tip.   I ended up tipping the driver some cash when we got there and we were on the ship in about 20 minutes.  Taking the hotel shuttle back to get our car was easy
