Pacific Northwest?

Yes, we just got back. And yes, we are already looking at another cruise.

Has anybody ever done the Pacific Northwest cruise out of Seattle?

Leslie and I aren't big beach people and this itinerary sounds very appealing to us.

Anything you can tell us about Explorer of the Seas?

Thanks as always!

Explorer is a great ship. The ship is full of windows. My husband will go back on her anytime.

Just off the Explorer last month.  2nd time for Pacific Northwest.  In Astoria we like to walk around town, go to the Columbia River maritime museum, eat at Josephson's Smokehouse (Google for directions).  Maple flavored smoked Salmon. Just the best.
Great little town.

In Victoria take the shuttle bus at the pier to the Empress Hotel downtown.  $10 per person round trip.  Walk across the street to the information building and buy a ticket for the harbor tour on the "Harbor Boats".  (Search YouTube for Harbor boats in Victoria).  Several things to see downtown.  Have not done Butchart Gardens.  No interests.

San Francisco.  Take the free shuttle to Fisherman's Wharf to catch the HOHO bus for a city tour or just walk around Fisherman's Wharf and go watch the Sea Lions next to the Carousel.  Eat fish and chips.

The Explorer was super.  We always enjoy the Voyager class ships.  Not much in the way of production shows.  Cruise Director Dan went a bit too far in selling on board activities.  Got tired of him very quickly.

Did that itinerary last year. We absolutely loved it. Lucked out with amazing weather and the laid back vibe on board made for a wonderful week. Enjoyed Explorer so much we’re going to Alaska on her next summer. Spent a lot of time in the Tavern and the aft view tables in the Windjammer couldn’t be beat.

Second the maritime museum in Astoria. If you like fish and chips, the Bowpicker is a must.

If you’re into high tea, the Empress in Victoria is lovely. A bit pricey but worth doing at least once. Wandering through Beacon Hill Park is a great way to spend a few hours as well.

I've been looking at said itinerary as well, but won't be doing it any year soon.  Explorer was in dry dock a couple years back, so she should be in pretty good condition.  Looks like a fun ship.

Yes. Looks like just a bigger version of Serenade in a lot of ways.
