mickjacket
Saw on Matt’s blog they were offering drink cars for $79 for 10 drinks. From your experience how often do they offer these? We don’t drink enough for the deluxe package but would be interested in this.
ellcee
It was the 4th day for mine, I've heard about the same +/- a day.
mickjacket
Thanks ours is only 5 days but I’ll keep a look out.
cookingyo
Empress had the drink card for $59 during the day 4 of a 5 day cruise. Jewel had the drink card for $79 on day 4 of a 7 day cruise this past June. Empress Drink Card poster
DocLC
I saw a memo from corporate at one of the bars staying it couldn't be offered before the fourth day. Sometimes it's offered; sometimes it's not. It likely had to do with bar revenue and where they're at that determines if it's offered or not. jticarruthers
Its one of the "cards" they have to play to try and drum up the sales if they are struggling. I think Adventure last thanksgiving they came out on day 2 or 3 of a 7 day, could be early, could be late, might not even offer them, so unfortunately "counting" on the drink card is not a solid plan. Matt
Here's an overview of the fabled drink card https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/06/23/spotlight-drink-cards-royal-caribbean-cruises
twangster
Also spotted more commonly of late is the draft beer card. Grandeur early September 2017: Drink card $79 plus 18% gratuity, 1st appeared on day 3 of 9 day cruise. Like the drink package there is a $12 cap to drinks included, more expensive drinks and you are charged the difference. Oasis class have a $13 cap. Draft beer card $49 plus 18% gratuity, 1st appeared on day 5 of 9 day cruise.
guittech
Gotta keep an eye out for these cards on our next cruise (November! WOOHOO!) We don't drink enough to make use of a drink package. 20 years ago? Oh yeah... Now I am good for a few beers on a good day, and if it's a port day, then maybe 1 or 2. I would love to be able to buy a single day Drink package, for the one sea day that we decide to "tie one on" But I guess that's what the drink cards are for! :D The only problem is that now I need to bring my wallet for my card collection... Coffee card, Beer card, Drink card...

Could yo imagine being out in the middle of the ocean at night....the captain dims all the non-emergency lights and then blasts the Pink Floyd dark side of the Moon album? Epic!! JLMoran
Not as old as you guys, but still got to enjoy plenty of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer; Jethro Tull; Moody Blues; Crosby, Stills, and Nash; and more as a kid.
