davelliott Posted September 11, 2017 Report Share Posted September 11, 2017 We were told by the captain before we got to Skagway that we would have to tender since the pier was not safe for pedestrian traffic. We had to board the life boats to get to the pier. I took a bunch of photos to post but since we have non-voom, I can't get one picture to upload. I will add them when I get home. One of the tour guides said that much of the dirt and rocks had already been removed. I could see some of the debris in the train cars that were parked on the pier.
