Eastern Caribbean vs Western in March

Recommended Posts

Hi there my trusty cruise friends.  I'm planning a cruise for March and was wondering if there are significant differences in cruising Eastern Caribbean vs Western?  I've done Western many times so I'm interested in trying Eastern, but something tells me I've read the weather is worse in Eastern during the winter months? For us its all about escaping the cold. Is the water colder? Greater chance of having ports cancelled? I know you you have the answers! :12_slight_smile:

March is not a time of year where missing a port is common.  It really boils down to which islands are of greater interest to you.  In general, Eastern Caribbean islands tend to have the perception of having prettier beaches (clear water, white sand, etc) but Western Caribbean beaches are lovely too.

I'd probably consider a secondary option for picking the sailing, like ship, cost, room type, etc.
