Cruise mapper leaks IconOTS sister ships?

Hey, was on cruisemapper and saw this is this true did Royal announce it anywhere?

this is interesting. 

since celebrity, royal’s sister brand has their own ship named apex, i find it unusual that they would also make use of the name. 

i wonder if they’re doing a bait and switch with names/titles, the way marvel does with their films…

Likely old data cruise mapper forgot to purge.  

In 2018 these trademarks became "dead":

1. Apex of the Seas
2. Emblem of the Seas
3. Passion of the Seas
4. Joy of the Seas
5. Emblem of the Seas
6. Vantage of the Seas

It's unlikely IMO that Royal would resurrect old trademarks they abandoned several years ago.

This is made up guesses, and we've seen it may times over the years. No source of truth to it, other than the trademarks that someone guessed could be the names.

So what names would others like to see Royal use for Icon 2 & 3?

I don't think they would do it, but how about Sovereign OTS?  What better a name for a revolutionary (iconic) ship than to honor the first mega cruise ship who revolutionized cruise ship design in her own right.

I'd also like to see Royal or Royalty OTS as a nod to Royal's just past 50th anniversary.  It would be interesting if they created a restaurant or lounge with memorabilia from the early years and first few ships.  Admittedly though, that probably wouldn't appeal to the younger generation.  This may be a good fit if (and I know it's a long shot and not the direction they are moving) if they ever come out with a smaller class to replace the Vision and Radiance class ships.

I see on a list that the next icon ship could be Star of the Seas. I went looking to see what was the first ship Royal sold and it listed all the ships left from oldest - Grandeur to those yet to be delivered Icon, Utopia, & Star(2025).

I thought I was told that the Crown & Anchor symbol on the Aqua theater back drop of Oasis & Allure came from Sovereign of the Seas.

That was the original plan but I think they had an issue installing it and it didn't work out.  I could be mistaken though.

Considering the tonnage of these new ships Displacement of the Seas seems fitting, or Encroachment of the Seas. Joking aside maybe Poseidon of the Seas, not really fond of Star as it just doesn't seem to make any sense. Unless they're suggesting Star as in a celebrity not an actual physical star.
