junior suite priority boarding gone?

anyone boarded odyssey or another oasis/quantum class recently can confirm if JS still gets priority boarding?  I noticed on my 3/25 sailing this month that seapass doesn't have suite listed anywhere on it, where it normally would for JS and above.

Royal's website has conflicting information.

These links says priority boarding is included: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-the-suites-programhttps://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-rooms/royal-suite-class

this link says it's not:https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-royal-suite-class

neither one show suite listed anywhere on them.  i've seen other posts stating that JS will show suite on the digital pass.

what's concerning is the discrepancy on their website, some pages  say priority boarding is included in sea class, some don't.  the fact that it's not showing on the setsail pass leads me to believe it's not

On both the printed and digital SetSail pass it should have ‘Sea Class’.

I have found that different terminals handle boarding priorities in different ways…and sometimes the same port does it differently each cruise, depending on who’s running the show that day.

For instance…at Port Liberty in Bayonne they used to enforce the arrival times. An agent would check your SetSail outside and if you came early, you had to wait. On my recent cruises, it’s been the same as it was pre-pandemic…just go in and get on the security line. Nobody checks your time. I don’t know if they eventually enforce the times if it gets too crowded outside. But that could be a Bayonne thing as the cold winter weather makes standing outside very uncomfortable.

**I always do my online check in as soon as it opens for each cruise so that I can get the earliest arrival time. I figure the first time I don’t do that, that’s when they will enforce the arrival times!🤪

There’s a designated security line for suite guests and pinnacles, but sometimes that line takes longer as it leads to a single scanner. After security, there are designated check in kiosks for suites and pinnacles, but I have found every kiosk check in is quick.

Star Class has it’s own priority experience, but that’s under$tandable.

I’m on Odyssey right now. When I boarded my pass showed “Sea” for my JS. I went straight for the suite line an hour before my scheduled board time and has zero issues.

i'm assuming it will update sometime between now and our trip on 3/25.  right now it doesn't say sea anywhere on either digital or printed pass.

Your pass should show "Sea Class" you are not going to see the word "suite" on your set sail pass.

When you get to the pier just go to the entrance for suite guess show them your set sail pass and they will let you through.

i've seen numerous other posts saying the setsail pass said suite on it, but mine doesn't show Sea Class either

Royal is not know for technical aptitude.  The follies of Royal IT could fill a coffee table book.  Yet whenever another technical glitch comes along so many rush to draw conclusions.

yeah i've read about those as well.  it would seem too coincidental though that some parts of the website have also updated to show that JS no longer get priority boarding.  i just won't worry about it anymore, we have 11am boarding as it is which was the earliest available.  time to go read more posts about chair hogs...

I've travelled JS a few times in the last few months... EVERY digital pass always has SUITE written on it, as does my new one for my cruise in 2 weeks time.

On arrival there is a clearly signed entrance for SUITES and The Key.. and this is a priority boarding area.

Flash the digital pass to the entry staff, they see it says SUITE and they wave you thru.

i guess if mine never shows up i'll just do what another poster did and bring a copy of the invoice that shows the room i'm in is a JS.  clearly some IT issue going on.  seen this posted several times on other boards, so definitely not just a one off.

My digital pass for Odyssey was showing up as Suite (or Sea Class) but now it has neither.   We just had a JS on Navigator and not allowed to board in the Suite/Pinnacle line so I definitely checked our April Odyssey sailing and it was on there.

Is this a change by RCI or should I call and see if they can update it?

Just upgraded to a JS. Set sail pass updated to include room number but does not include the words suite, priority, or sea class anywhere?

same thing with mine as originally posted, sailing next week and hasn't changed.  Although as many others posted, it does show if you add to apple wallet.  verified that on ours as well, so at least we should be good to board with the rest of the suites.  however i'm still confused with what is documented on the RC site, information definitely is conflicting.  And out of curiosity i've tried doing mock bookings on RC website with any oasis or quantum class ship, and booking a JS does not list priority boarding as a perk, when i know it did when we booked ours last year.  i'll report back after our 3/25 cruise if i had luck in the suite line at Fort Lauderdale port

This thread made me curious, so I looked at our digital set sail passes (web and in the Royal app) as well. They say neither "Sea" nor "Suite" in both cases, though both should be true (we're currently setup for a junior suite on the Harmony for a cruise on 4/15).  Guess we'll see how it turns out! 🙂

Anyone know if you can add your set sail pass to Google Wallet, for the Android crowd among us?

Does your invoice show JS? We always take a skinny binder for checkin, and it includes invoice and other documents we may need if there are questions.

There is no designation for my JS for my March 25 cruise. I printed from my list of upcoming cruises on the website that my cabin is considered a Suite. Also missing is my Masters (casino) designation that allows me to eat at Coastal Kitchen and entitles me to a special luncheon (with Key guests) on embarkation day among other things. Masters status is also supposed to give me priority boarding. I was able to get a new card printed once the Diamond concierge was available on my March 11 Odyssey cruise but it was one more thing to take care of on embarkation day. Suite and Masters have been on my previous Set Sail Passes and printed on my key card but not on the March 11 cruise card.

To those sailing soon (especially out of Miami) please keep us updated. Priority embarkation is one of the main reasons I was able to convince mom to step down from a GS to JS so we could afford this year's sailing and if it's gone I need to warn her now well in advance. We are Diamond class but I don't think the port staff really ever cares about that....

We recently cruised Symphony from Miami, Feb 25th-Mar 4th.  Junior Suite.  Arrived at the port early and were immediately ushered into the suite lounge at the terminal and onto the ship.

We've done Navigator recently also, from L.A.  Also JS.  Definitely priority boarding.

We have completed multiple cruises in JS over the past two years.......have not waited in a suite lounge.   Maybe we will get lucky with our Odyssey sailing next month.

What happens in the pre cruise suite lounge?

In our experience, the nicest is Miami.  We wait  in nice chairs or couches in the suite lounge with coffee, juice and pastries, while the folks come to us to complete the check- in.  As soon as the ship is open, we board the ship.  At 10:30-ish, we were in the suite lounge.  Very slightly later, the ship was open for us and we boarded.  In other ports, the suite lounge is a bunch of chairs in the port, with beverages and treats available.  In L.A., the only amenity is our own line.  Nothing more is provided.

These suite lounges are all different, and sometimes non-existent.  But no matter what, I sure appreciate the abbreviated line and check-in.

10 days out from our cruise on the Harmony from Miami and...our digital Set Sail Passes now say "Sea Class" on them.  TBD on whether or not that gets us into the priority boarding area (though we have the Key, so it's not like we'll be waiting too long either way).

We are sailing on the Vision May 1st as Diamond members in a JS. No where on my sail pass does it say SEA OR SUITE. Can someone please tell me what time is priority boarding. TIA

You will be getting on Vision as we are getting off !

We are also in a JS so I guess we’ll find out how it goes, first.

We are on EX (Miami) now and didn’t have any problem getting into the terminal with the suites.  Not sure if it will be the same at Port Everglades.  I hope so.

I just was on the Independence out of Port Canaveral in a JS.  We were not permitted priority boarding (I asked).  It was no big deal as we went right through onto the ship with no wait in the regular boarding queue. Also, we arrived a bit before our 1:00 pm start of our boarding window and boarded with no problem or issue.

UGH. Thanks for the warning.  I do notice that my SSP now have "suite" on them so I think the issue has been resolved.  For how long ?  Who knows....

Set sail pass in the app or the printed version?

For as long as the app has had set sail passes it hasn't always listed suites properly.  Printed passes usually do though.

The Seapass cards do not usually have Jr Suite printed on them.  Our cruise next week in Jr Suite does not.  They will know.  And you can board with the suites guests.

SeaPass cards are not available until onboard.

One of my JS experiences several years before the pandemic didn't designate anything on my SetSail.  The gatekeeper at the terminal challenged me but I insisted I was in a suite.  He eventually let me in the line.  So this has been been ongoing for years.
