They do one called Caribbean Dream. It's ham and pineapple but they use BBQ sauce instead of marinara.  That's the closest I have seen to Hawaiian but it means they have the ingredients available.

That's the one I had last week on Anthem.  It wasn't Hawaiian.  It was good though.

I forget why you didn’t like it? We have liked Jamie’s on Harmony and Anthem.

I think we were turned off by the mayo with the calamari, and I believe that Heather got the lasagna and did not like it one bit. I did get the lamb chops and those were good. I think we here hitting coma status too so that probably didn't help.

I've done sky class on oasis, and am sky on odyssey in August...I do like sky class. We're six so it gets complicated. We're really looking forward to the star class but have some time to wait ....

Yeah, pretty much RLS, ATS, or Villa are your options.

We actually have RLS for Mediterranean city and beaches out of the UK on anthem we're from NYC and it's our this time in them first time in star class. Still looking forward especially since it's 14 nights.

That is going to be beautiful!

Love The World! We had the chance to try it at Chef's Table back on Odyssey! So decadent!

I love the World as well. We have had it many times but something was slightly off with the taste last night.

did your nephew and niece like wonderland?our kids are under 10 and we haven’t tried it yet. Thanks!

I think they liked the cotton candy and popcorn chicken the best.

Try the pastas. We find we like those the best. I do not recommend the eggplant unless you like balsamic on it.

Day 6 - Sea Day

Today is our last sea day. Woke up around 7am this morning to terrible weather. Rain, high winds, and very chilly. It’s now around noon and it has cleared up nicely.

Pretty relaxing day so far. We had breakfast in CK again, went to tour the galley. The tour was shorter than I remembered. Only about 20mins. Now killing time enjoying Central Park before Izumi. 😋

Was the tour only for you or star class or anyone who on the ship who purchased?

This was arranged by Marla. When we showed up, there was another star class family there. It was just us. I think they reserve times for star. I think they also offer this for suite guests as well and can be arranged through the concierge. I don’t know if it can be booked outside of that but hopefully someone else can jump in with an answer.

A family group of us will be star class on Harmony this coming January.  There will be eight of us.  Where did the genie sit your group for the ice show?  Is it crowded seating for you all to eat in a speciality restaurant together?  Have you all split up for dinner?  You da bomb!

We sat in the front row for the ice show. Yes, I will blog about it later, but seating in restaurants have been more of a challenge this sailing. And no, we have made it a point to eat all dinners together but we have split for lunch.

i enjoy wonderland in theory

in execution… give me pasta or pizza any day of the week, like a good italian 😅😂

all kidding aside though; the concept is very cool. we did it once and agreed that was enough for us. i know some folks swear by it. this is one of the reasons i love oasis class so much; so many specialty dining options. something for everyone. 💚

I have the UDP with 8 people for my Allure sailing in Oct. We are only planning to do dinners together and I know it will be a very rough experience with 8, I cannot imagine how it is going with your family but luckily you have a Genie.

Yeah, more on that to come…

I hear you. After Hideaway Heist last night, Hubby and I went to Sorrento's. And you know I avoid that place most times lol

It was fun watching my parents 😂

Ok, I am having a hard time keeping this blog “live” with my family here with me.

Backtracking to this afternoon. We met Marla for the Bridge Tour at 2:15pm. This is again arranged by the Genie for Star Class guests. Marla told us they did 3 groups today. Our group had her guests and some of Raj’s guests. About 20 people in total.

We met the Genies at the forward elevator lobby on Deck 12. From there, security met us, used a wand to scan us, and escorted the group to the bridge. The tour was about 30 mins in length. It starts with an explanation of some of the operations on the bridge.

You are allowed some time at the end to take photos and also ask questions.

I was saying to Marla that it is nice to see these tours come back. Both the galley, and the bridge tour.

D16 doesn’t know what she wants to do after high school yet. Maybe she should be like Captain Kate and Hubby and I can sail with her. That would be a nice retirement lol

After Chops, we headed to the theatre to see Columbus. They revealed at the end of the show that this was the first performance of Columbus for this cast. That probably means that we also saw one of their first performances of Grease as well. That explains the slightly shaky performance from the other night. Columbus was good, weird, and funny as usual.

@Lovetocruise2002  A+ for keeping the blog live with parents and children in tow! I can barely keep up with our Genie group chat’s on WhatsApp, and family chats when we’re not together.  You’re doing an amazing job blogging during this multigenerational extravaganza☺️!  I love following but wonder if you find it a little hectic?  Our annual family cruises are a dream come true, but keeping up with all the moving parts and staying with the program is …well…exhilarating🤣😂 I’m pretty sure you’ll have a very special appreciation for the next cruise alone with hubby (maybe in a quiet lowly crown loft☺️) I always do😍

I love your assessment! Haha We are not adventurous eaters so it’s a hard pass but I said we would eat dessert there next cruise on HM. We had the dessert delivered to our suite last time but I think it will be better to eat in restaurant and take in the experience. The menu paint brush sounds neat. I kinda wish I had not mentioned Wonderland to my guys because it would be a hoot to take them there just for shock value. Lol

(I'm guessing Marla is the one in pink 🤔😆)

Glad you and your family are having a good time!! Hope to go cruising with my family (by family, I mean, brother, SIL, niece, nephew, mum and dad) one day.... maybe next year for my parents wedding anniversary.... I guess I better start looking at deals! Just gotta decide which ship...

I'm so jealous! All that food looks so good!!

On my recent cruise - I held back on how much I ate... especially deserts...I'm on a bit of a health kick atm 🤣 (Not me ordering like 5 donuts each morning for breakfast)

I keep saying I want to experience an Oasis class ship... but after seeing seeing all the people at the 70s Disco Inferno Party.... Needless to say... I don't like crowds 😛

You and I really do think alike sometimes. I am definitely finding it a bit more hectic than I am used to. But it’s ok. I knew going into this it would be. I wouldn’t trade the memories for anything.

That is pretty much how it was with my family. Only Hubby and I had been there before so it was pretty funny with the rest of them. Hubby said he liked it better this time because he set his expectations so low 😂

We did on the first night. After falling in love with it on SY, Hubby, the kids, and I all agreed that it was not as good on HM.

Don’t let the crowds deter you from trying oasis class if you have the opportunity. There are moments where the ship does feel crowded, like the promenade parties for example. However, there are endless places to go to be alone as well. That is the beauty of an Oasis class ship. They are designed to disperse crowds.

Ending our cruise in CocoCay is not what I love. I would rather this have been the first day or better yet, Day 6. Either way, we are making the best of it.

We arrived at CocoCay around 8:45am and were cleared to get off the ship around 9:30am. Marla came to pick us up because today we actually rented a cabana. I use the term “we” loosely. Hubby found out about a week ago because D14 spilled the beans over dinner.

Those of you who follow my blogs know that Hubby is quite opposed to spending money on a cabana. However, it made a bit more sense this time. Originally, my sister, her family, Hubby, D16, and D14 booked Waterpark tickets. They were not cheap. $113pp over Black Friday. My parents were just going to wander around and I was planning to stay on the ship. When I factored in the cost of including my parents and myself (if we were to have purchased tickets) and the cost of the cabana (which includes 6 tickets), it was only about $300 more for the cabana. So for $300 more we can now all go together, and have a home base, that made it worthwhile to me, and I think that Hubby  could see reason with that.

I am now here and settled in my “happy place” for the day.

Even better, everyone has disappeared 😂 parents are wandering, and the rest have run off to do slides. More cabana pics to come later. Hubby took pics but he has vanished as well.

Random Observation: Wifi speeds, especially upload, are just as terrible here at PDCC 😞

Thrill Waterpark Cabana menu:

Haha Story of my life in Vegas this week. This is Hubby and Sons idea of celebrating St Patrick’s Day. They have to go during “hot donut times”. They aren’t available in Canada so it’s a real treat for them. 🤷‍♀️

Another inconsistency to Star Class, or cost cutting, however you want to look at it. The food at Captain Jack’s is no longer included. It does cost extra now. When we sailed star on Allure in December 2021, we did not pay extra for the food there.

So annoying and petty given the limited monetary cost to this perk.

I dont get that, if all the food on the island is included (other than beach club) does it really change anything??

ive always done the beach club and gotten the kids (freeloaders lol) when they are with us the waterpark tickets...you might have changed my mind with the waterpark cabana....was the food and drink service easy and sever around often?

When we arrived at the Waterpark, we were asked to check in with the Cabana Concierge first. It was there that we got a wristband. Everyone in your party gets one.

After they hand out your wristbands, you meet your cabana attendant and from there they lead you off to your cabana.

Cabana #42

- great location

- close to wave pool and Snack Shack

- private and hidden by plants

- @Mike6453 service was attentive. We are not too high maintenance, and did not ask for much, so they did not come by as often. But I watched them go to other cabanas very frequently.

The cabana comes with towels, 6 bottles of water, and a safe. There is also a plug in the back right corner.

I don’t remember the food at Cap’n Jacks ever being included.  I seem to recall that it wasn’t included even when we last cruised SC before COVID.  I recall being surprised by that given the fact that it’s just chicken wings ! …nothing special.
