Casino Royale instant rewards question

Recommended Posts

I have a pic of the rewards from the casino for earning points on the cruise.  1500 points = "Interior Stateroom" with "$100 freeplay" bonus award with nextcruise.. In contrast, lower points bonus awards are "Complimentary Interior Stateroom on Select Dates".. When I got my instant reward thing, it gives me a rather long list of cruises I can get the interior stateroom on, but doesn't this verbiage for 1500 points mean I should be able to pick an interior room on whatever cruise?  I did the book later thing through nextcruise,(actually on 2 cruises), but now I'm trying to figure out when and where to go.

Also, cant view my offers on the casino royale website, dont know if that is normal.

I'm pretty sure all of the onboard instant rewards for comped rooms, are from a specific list,  but the higher your point level, the more options you have to choose from.    I don't believe your onboard instant offers will show up in the Casino Royal website.   But you will probably receive separate offers their,  they update frequently, so you'd want to look frequently as well.

You will have to pick from the list of ships and dates that were provided to you.  We've learned to visit the casino host early in the sailing to ask to see copies of the lists so we know what the options are.  I have found that these offers do show up in our club royale accounts after a few days.

Thanks, Ill keep an eye out, if not Ill just call in a few days.  There seemed to be several on the list I'd go for for sure.

Honestly, I think the points “rules” are somewhat fluid.  I’ve never been able to really figure out any hard and fast rules.  Last month on an OA cruise I earned over 2000 points and I still had a list of cruises from which to choose.  Some were inside, some were OV and a couple were balcony.  Honestly, I think the points threshold for “choose any cruise” is 2500 earned onboard.

The onboard “instant” rewards is truly a challenge to figure out.  One word of advice (2, actually) is 1). Be sure you check at the very end of your cruise - after you’re done playing - to see if your certificate has been upgraded and 2) make sure you get a printout of the cruise list so that you can see which cruises apply to your certificate.  The lists can be pages long and the full list is often not visible at Clubroyaleoffers.com.  I’ll add a third.  If you earned an instant certificate from onboard play, be sure and go to Next Cruise and either book the cruise of your choice (from the list) or purchase an “open” booking….otherwise, you lose whatever free play is associated with your offer (referred to as the “bonus”).

Yes, you should be able to see all of you unredeemed certificates (as well as any online offers) online.  If you cannot, you will need to call the Club Royale number and see why yours aren’t being displayed

It sounds like you earned the instant certificates a while ago?

onboard instant certs up through December had 7 days to book to keep the bonus (in your case freeplay) or book within 39 days to keep the cabin.

onboard certs earned January, and thus far February, have had 30 days to book to keep the bonus.

both of the above required the next cruise booking # to keep the bonus,

id never leave the ship without the printed list of available cruises.

as an fyi, 2,000 and up had been the sweet spot for cruise lists .  Onboard this month it seems 3,000 pts is a sweet spot.

Guess I’ll have to up my game play and bankroll on my cruise this month. Thanks for the heads up on this.

Personally Id ask for the list first if you wanted to go that way.  You actually can end up spending more than the cost of the cruise and to make matters worse there may not be a sailing you are interested in.  Also “sweet spot of lists” is subjective!

also, I follow a FB group.: royal Caribbean club Royale casino patrons forum.    There is a guy, Doug Swallow, search for him in that group.  He posts the monthly instant cert sailing lists as they come out.

they start with year/month so Feb is 2302 followed by a letter A for cruises 5 days or less, C for cruises over 5 days., followed by a number, which correlates to the # of points you earned

2302C08 is the 800 pt list
2302C07 is the 1200 pt list
2302C06 is the 1500
2302C05 for 2000
2302C04 for 3000
2304c03A for 4000 pts
And 6,000 on up.

Use  this as a guide, next month would be 2303C08 etc….so if you board in March and his lists aren’t out yet you can ask the host to print a list, or go to next cruise to get the list-based on the code.   The list goes to the date the cruise started.  So a cruise that begins in March will be a 2303 list.

@Pattycruisegreat info. I usually get the lists so I know if anything jumps out at me before I play.  I was kind of joking in my comment because I already have 4 casino comp cruises booked this year. Unless I can get an offer good for between Xmas and New Years, when my office is shut down, I really don’t have enough vacation left to plan another one this year. I am actually struggling to decide what my annual cruise will be once they give those out. I will probably have to look at Jan or Feb 2024 for that one.

There is a guy in a Casino Royale Facebook group I'm in that posts several spreadsheets with ALL the offers.   Not only the thresholds for each reward level but also a full list of the offered cruises.  How many times have you pushed to get to the next level only to find out that the options were not that great and you shouldn't have done that?  Been there and done that......but never again.    This data is priceless and he gets it posted early each month.

I gained 25,000 points on my first cruise with RC. A friend told me to wait for clubyroyaleoffers on the website because there would be more options for booking.
Indeed my "instant reward certificate" offers on the site were for grand suite with hundreds of options, and $2000 free play. But when I call they say the freeplay is NOT eligible unless you booked with next cruise, so i have no freeplay. Has this been true for everyone? If so, they did not make this clear to us in the casino or on the phone when booking.

You do have to book with Next Cruise to get the freeplay and OBC credit offers associated with the certificate voucher.  If you look at the itinerary list from the casino, the free play is always in a column labeled "Next Cruise Bonus".  If you do not book though Next Cruise while on-board, you will lose the free play.  The certificates themselves expire in 30 days.  I actually used the casino comp certificate, from my last cruise earlier this month, this morning, to book a suite and I was not able to get the free play bonus because I did not do it on the ship with Next Cruise.  I was not ready to book on-board because I had to check with work and family before I scheduled it.

Another note about casino vouchers is you must pay in full when you use them.  This means you do not have the ability to pay over time for any port fees, taxes, or upgrades.  This is another reason I waited until I got home to book -- I wanted to take my daughter and granddaughter for her birthday in January and upgrade my comp to a 2 bedroom Grand Suite.  I had to make sure everyone's schedules lined up and it took a lot of back and forth to do so.  I did not want to pay for a room upgrade that I would have not been able to use and wait for my money to be refunded and deposits lost.

I think this whole “rule” about requiring an on-board booking or lose your bonus is ass-lame.

A couple of cruises ago, I was told by the casino host that I had only been awarded a $$$ off certificate, which I always throw directly into the sh*t can…so I booked nothing.  Come to find out, later, they upgraded my certificate to a comp cruise.  B/c I didn’t book while onboard, I lost the bonus.  Now, granted….it wasn’t much.  But the rules just seem to be so fluid.  You never really know what you’re working with until the last damn minute of the cruise….a time that is pure pandemonium in the casino.  And, OBTW, I don’t trust them to properly and accurately report my points earned, either….but I also am loathe to get into that ungodly line waiting to talk to the host/ess on the last night.  As long as I continue to obtain Prime, I’m good.

I have read where people appealed this “must book with a next cruise reservation # to receive freeplay” and have won.  Especially in cases like yours, first time receiving an offer.  Ask for a supervisor.  If they say no hang up, call back snd try again. If all else fails write the CEO.

With a new casino year starting, many of us are planning how to get the most out of casino status.  Can anyone verify if you purchase a next cruise voucher while onboard but don't commit to an actual sailing, does the "bonus" still get applied as long as you choose a sailing on your casino offers list within 7 days?

Yes, you would retain the bonus IF you purchase the open booking and reference the instant [casino] reward certificate.  If you just purchase an open booking but do not incorporate the affected reward certificate, you will not retain the bonus associated with it.   …at least, this is m understanding…. @Pattycruise can you verify ?

Thank you @WAAAYTOOO - if we don't book while onboard we will make sure to go to Next Cruise to do so instead of just purchasing the open certificates from the app as there wouldn't be a way to make mention of the reward certificate that way. I couldn't agree with you more that standing in that line at the end of the cruise is not how we choose to spend the last hours of our cruise.

You don't have to reference the reward certificate when making the open booking. You just have to have an open booking from NextCruise that you made during your cruise. You will give the Club Royale phone rep your NextCruise booking reservation number when you call to book your offer and they'll apply the bonus.

As of January the earned onboard instant certificate is valid for 30 days (no longer 7days), and of course can be subject to change.  I’ve not seen the April certificate yet.  In order to retain the booking bonus feature of the earned onboard instant certificate you must purchase your new reservation # from Next Cruise.  You have 3 ways to do this
1. visit Next cruise and purchase your reservation number (aka open booking)
2. use the next cruise form -fill it out carefully-and drop it in the drop box at next cruise
3. purchase your open booking via the app while onboard.

my personal preference is visit next cruise.  Make an appointment for later in the week when you board the ship. I do not like the app, it added my daughter, who I did not want on the reservation and oddly made her primary-she’s under 21! Also the travel agent on your current booking will be the agent for the new booking since you cannot do a form to remove her when you book via the app. Additionally I’ve read of people who thought they booked via the app but it did not go through.  The drop box——meh, I’d much rather get my reservation directly from next cruise.  Also not many people are good  at filling out paperwork carefully, which could lead to not get your reservation #

as for not seeing your cruise certs in your club Royale account:  CALL THEM.  My husband is a Jr. And that created an issue for him with club Royale.  Short last names, variations in a last name, and I’m sure the weather outside, can all have an impact if you’ll see your certificate.

the only time my earned onboard instant certificate is not in my account is when I’ve used next cruise, while onboard, to book my cruise.  Otherwise  the onboard instant certificate should be in your account.

Yikes and ouch. 😱🥴

Seems I fell into the category of "missed the boat" on the $1000 free play with the instant certificate as I did not go to the Next Cruise while onboard back in mid Sept.

Guess that falls within the pitfalls of being a cruise newbie.

Read my post above about making the appeal.  If it doesn’t work call back later or the next day. $1000 in freeplay is a lot to lose!!  1 (866) 213-3116
