Coco Beach Club - Wheelchair accessible for both types cabanas?

Hi all,

I was wondering which of the cabanas are better for the coco beach club for someone in a wheelchair traveling with kids.  Was considering the over the water as it would be a special occasion, but worried it might be difficult to get to the washroom for someone on a wheelchair.

As I recall, there's a paved path between the bathrooms and the cabanas, especially the bathrooms at the restaurant. 

There are two smaller bathrooms that look like they're in a trailer from the outside, but I think there may be a bit of sand (and possibly a step or two?) in between. 

Regardless, you could go to the restaurant and it's paved/deck all the way.

The overwater have paved walkway area to water then easy transition to wide decking area.  The attendants all ride 3 wheel bikes right out to the cabana.

They have recently built washrooms near the over the water cabanas on the south beach side (#11-20).  It is paved the whole way once you leave the “dock” and there are no steps into the washrooms.  I believe the washroom doors are wide enough for a wheelchair, but am not certain.

If you can transfer from one chair to another they also have wheelchairs with oversized tires for traveling over sand on the Island.

Pathways to and from overwater should be able to accommodate a regular wheelchair. Restrooms for cabanas #1-19 are in a trailer. Path is soft sand and there are 2-3 steps up. @SebagoSueis correct about the new washroom for #11-20. There is another washroom closer to the restaurant on the south side as well. 

The cabana attendants are very attentive and will do their best to make your stay enjoyable.

thanks for the helpful responses!  Looks like the cruise upcoming they are having a hard time selling cabanas it is for March 5 on Anthem, says they have 9 left (and I heard they only have 10 to sell for each ship)
