Nathan Preheim
I recently saw a YouTube video of a cruiser on a February Allure sailing. His video tour of Central Park was depressing because lots of trees and shrubs were dead! Apparently, a hard freeze recently killed them all?!? Can anyone confirm? Bummed because Central Park is my favorite space on any Oasis-class ship. We're on the March 26th sailing on Allure.
Keanoknick
A good portion of the plants were killed off by a freeze. I have heard that they plan on starting to replace them in March, but I don't know that for a fact. I hope they are able to get it back to it's previous beauty soon. We sail on her in June. FireFishII
Another thread on this site (Allure of the seas - Central Park Restoration) was also mentioning the condition of Central Park. There they mentioned that crew members have been already pruning the dead material back. They also mentioned waiting until Spring to replace the trees. CruiseGus
Trees are coming back slowly. I talk with the head gardener almost every morning. In the 2 weeks I'm now on I can see marked improvement in many trees. Dont expect it to return fast though, trees lush in maybe a year, those will not be replaced. Some smaller plant are on order, when they arrive is anyones guess. Nathan Preheim and KristiZ 1

steverk
I'm on allure. Central Park looks pretty brown. They are putting in new plants, but it's going to be a while. These pics probably capture the worst of it Cactus527 and KristiZ 1
