Two weeks to go and my son and wife have not received their renewed passports. My son has a birth certificate that can be used. My wife has her birth certificate but we don't have any marriage certificates for her name changes, previous marriage was 50 years ago and ours was 40. You would think your birth certificate, your state real ID, and even an expired passport would be sufficient identification, after all you needed to prove who you were to get the State ID and the earlier passport. Will be calling tomorrow to find out status, with expedited service, the renewal time was listed as 3-5 weeks, it's been 4.

Kevin still have two weeks so hoping/praying it gets to you all in time.

Did you get two rooms for your family or one. We got two rooms one  for my two teens and the other for my wife and I. First time on the Wonder.  We were on the Symphony in March 2020. The last cruise before they shut everything down.

Thanks @HAK1906 just one thing to worry about, used to have to sweat the COVID test, once this is done we're good. We have one cabin, my wife has mobility issues so we're in an accessible cabin which gives you a bit more space even though there are three of us. We booked all our entertainment as soon as it was available.  This is the fourth time we've been to  COCOCAY and the prices were very high. We've done the Beach Club twice and both times paid less than $100, not sure we'll see that pricing again. My son and I are doing a B2B on Harmony in May and it goes to COCOCAY both times he and I got the Beach Club for $98 and on the other week he got the Thrill water park for $98. Since I don't do beaches it's a great time to hang on the ship. I'm  not sure about sold out options, but I would head to the excursions desk first thing on embarkation to see what is available I would think that they hold some for on board guests but it could be they just want to fill things up and be done with it.

Great information regarding Cococay. We went ahead and bought two watermark passes for my kids. $165 a piece. Extremely high. I’m 2020 it was no where near that price. I doubt if we go to the beach club due to how crazy the rates are, but last time we were there we hung around the beach and then went to the big pool in the middle of Cococay and had a great time. The people and DJ were having the time of their lives.

any issue getting a beach chair while on Cococay if not signed up for a cabana or anything else while at the beach?

There are allot of beach chairs. The issue would be if you could get one where you want it as apposed to just getting whats available. Because of my wife's mobility issues she's not really a morning person, so my son would get off the ship early and go claim us a spot and we'ed follow along a bit later. So if you have a preference the earlier you get there the more options you'll have. I checked cruisedig ports and Freedom is supposed to be there on the 18th when we are. Wonder isn't listed but we were not supposed to go there originally it was added back in July as a replacement for the DR port.

Would definitely like to meet you and let me know if there is a meet up you are doing onboard as well.

No meetup planned, but I'm usually in the pub or Mason Jar bar after dinner. Just depends on who the performers are.

Hope to be able to meet you all onboard. Don't be shy, happy to meet everyone (unless I'm reprimanding my kids, then it's super awkward so try again a few hours later 😆)!

Matt I usually don’t go to the pub often but definitely will be looking out for you there or even the trivia in the schooner bar (love the trivia).

We've got the Unlimited Dining Package and will be doing Mason Jar, Chops, 150 Central park and Hooked. We've eaten in all of these before and enjoyed them, I'm the only one who enjoys sushi so we're not doing Izumi nor are we doing the Hibachi, although we have done that before. I think the sushi is fine, not the best I've had but good. The Hibachi was good and a great show at the same time. We often do Chops but now we just do it for lunch.

We already have a Japanese hibachi restaurant in TX we go to. How good is Izumu, is it a must go-to. We are planning on Mason Jar for sure and Chops (our fav) for speciality restaurants but on the fence regarding Izumu.

Izumi hibachi is decent. I don't see the sense in spending the extra money unless it's to celebrate for something special.  I do love the Izumi sushi, though. The 34.99 pre fixe menu option used to be a lot of food but I've heard they're downsizing the portions if you order the pre fixe over the ala carte.

We have the ultimate dining package but I don't know where I will end up eating because this is my mother's special cruise and she's in charge and gets to make all the decisions.

Just to add confusion to this issue, Dan and I had Izumi sushi this week (OA) with a 3 night pkg and both of us got 8 pieces with our rolls.  I have no idea what the “rules” are anymore.  Ugh

But the article doesn't compare if when you order the pre fixe you are still getting the same amount of food on that small or large plate as if you would have when ordering ala carte..that is the pre fixe orders wouldn't have the same full sushi roll as the folks ordering it ala carte. Though unless they're making a lot of the same rolls at the same time, I don't see how they could easily cut the portion size in half to give the pre fixe folks 4 pieces instead of the full 8.

The pre fixe was always a good deal over the ala carte option, especially since it met the $35 threshold for the dining package and some of those large plates were in the $16-$18 range.

With UDP, I don't see a reason to go with fixed price unless you aren't doing sushi at all and want to get the soups/non-sushi entrees

Usually works better for me since I like to pick 2 from the sashimi, poke bowl and ramen options for my large plates..I can never even make it dessert there!

What makes this cruise any different from the rest with your mom? Is she making pinnacle?

I had been wondering why my calendar had not updated on the app with the things I had added as well as my check in information I did the website.  I did a common thing called “sign-out and sign back in” and all my information including the daily calendar details of ship activities, etc.. were loaded. Who knew that simple trick would load all the things that were missing. This is your FYI moment of the day. 😂😂😂👍🏽👍🏽😎😎🫢🫢🤩🤩🥹🥹🥹🙃🙃🤪. DUH!!!😂😂

Hello all,

I'm not on this sailing but stopped in just out of curiosity and wishful thinking, as I sit here at work torturing myself looking at pictures of St Kitts.  It's all good, I've got Alaska coming up on Ovation in May.  CAN'T WAIT!!

I've been to Coco Cay but not to St Thomas or St Kitts.  I will be in St Thomas Nov 2024 on the Carnival Celebration...ooops did I just write that?  Anyhow, I was just curious what people were talking about in this thread since it seems like a great itinerary on an amazing ship.  Did I read they are charging $165 for Thrill Water Park!!??  That's insane!  We went to Coco Cay last May on Freedom, and thought $74 was a lot, jeez!  I was also wondering what Royal is charging for the drinks pkg and dining packages?  For those who booked this cruise early, what was the starting price for Thrill Water Park?

Just wanted to add Thrill Water Park was so worth it!  That Daredevil's Peak was INTENSE!!  It totally caught me off guard.  Hope you all have a wonderful cruise!

The time is nigh, we are here it’s like Christmas in March, it’s sailing day.  I’m like a kid waiting to get the G.I.Joe with the Kung Fu Grip or my first Atari (yea I’m dating myself but those who were born in the 70’s you get what I’m saying).  Getting the family together and all the documents secured and we will be off.  Look forward to seeing and meeting my fellow Royal Caribbean Blog fans. I’ll be the guy in the Star Wars, Texas or Buccees shirt 🙂

A few minor differences from when I cruised on Symphony in March ‘20 to this cruise:

- Breakfast is an option at El Loco Fresh

- No made-to-order egg station at Solarium Bistro (still the best place for breakfast and often crowded)

- more options at playmakers (ping-pong, pool, old arcade games)

- No Jazz on 4, now the Gold Room, I preferred the live Jazz

- A Bar in the casino (Symphony may have had this but I did not notice)

- wow Bands everywhere

- the myth is true, if you want to run into Matt H. On a cruise, go to the Pub mid-evening  😂👍🏽
