We were coming in with a large part of the day to explore and wanted to be where most of the sites are. The airport area would be OK if you are coming in late without much time to explore San Juan. smokeybandit
We stayed at the Embassy Suites the two times we sailed out of San Juan. Near a couple restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy and has easy beach access. Neesa and rjweber3 1

All had Mofungo (spelling?). Two with chicken, one with beef and one with pork. The friend who ordered the beef Mofungo spent the next two days in her cabin after visiting the infirmary in the wee hours the next morning. The Dr. said food poisoning. So...word to the wise. It was very cute. Rooms are small but that's to be expected in the area. Location is fantastic.
KellsBells71
We are only staying for 2 days and don't plan to be in the room a lot; so size is really not a concern. A friend stayed there approx 4 years ago and recommended it, especially due to the location. AshleyDillo

Then there is a cluster of hotels by the beach. We stayed at a small cool guest house there on a different trip, but I prefer OSJ.
