Casino Royal question

I would think so. It will depend on the length of time you play and the amount of your wagers.  If you are gambling with green chips ($25) then I would say almost certainly.  It also depends on what you consider a “free” cruise.  It also helps to “buy in” at the table with a big buy-in.  That doesn’t mean you have spend it all….just slap $1000 down each time you buy in.  Then cash it out and start over again the next time you sit down at a table.  Only 800 points will get you an offer but they will be very limited in choice and duration.  The more points you accumulate, the better your offer will be.  I suspect you are asking about the complimentary cruise that is awarded after earning 2500 points.  With moderate wagering and a couple of hours every night, you shouldn’t have a problem.

Bottom line, check frequently with the casino host to find out how the points accumulation is going. You will be able to gauge your pace.

Good luck !

I'm not sure  whether @WAAAYTOOO was referring to the points-per-cruise earning or the Club Royale tiers. I think she meant the points earned during a cruise. You may be interested to know that 2,500 points would also qualify you for Prime status which would also earn you one free cruise per year. Other than that, since she seems to have completely answered your question, I thought I'd offer a mathematical aside from a slots perspective since that was my game of choice. I hope y'all will forgive this tangent.

Slots players earn 1 point per $5 wagered through the machine. What then matters is how many times the bankroll can be replayed given the house advantage, and that is determined by the slot machines' payback rate. I have no insight into this, but I do believe that Las Vegas casinos tend to be in the 90-ish% range, and the belief is that cruise ship casinos have little incentive to be that high. Still, I assume the casino wants people to win enough to keep playing, so I'll estimate the payback rate at 80%.

I ran some numbers through a spreadsheet, and a $7,000 bankroll, given an 80% payback rate, would ultimately play $35,000 through the machine, thus earning (coincidently for this exercise) 7,000 points. From that, one can look on the various tables to see what one would qualify for since it's just down to the numbers when playing on machines. I think that would that should get a comped balcony cruise, maybe a junior suite, but I've not paid attention to the charts they have listed in the casino lately.

Other rates:

  • 85% – $46,663 or 9,332 points
  • 87% – $53,843 or 10,768 points
  • 90% – $70,000 or 14,000 points

So, somewhere between 7,000 and 14,000 points for slots players, maybe?

I don't know the specifics but if your goal is to earn just a free cruise, you could possibly do that with $1000 at a table.

For reference earning 6500 points on one sailing will get you a "free" balcony with $750 freeplay on a ton of ships such as Wonder, Harmony,  etc. Transatlantic and Med cruises as well. What it might cost you is the real question. If you can get a balcony and freeplay for under $2k it's a steal but if you spend your $7k bankroll getting that.....it's not.

Getting 2500 points will make you prime, earning free drinks, discount internet and 1 free annual cruise of up to 7 nights. For reference I don't mind sharing it took me $1670 to make prime for my next year. Depending on the ship, an interior cabin could be $950pp. That means my cost more than covers the "perk" not to mention that I get free drinks for the whole year any time I sail.

The free drinks is only available at the casino?

I've found bet tracking to be extremely variable in accuracy at table games.  As @WAAAYTOOO said, it's best to buy-in with something like $1K.  That will get the attention of the pit boss and after a night or two, possibly a visit from the casino host.  You don't have to spend all of it, but time on table X average bet is supposed to be the metric.

I'm Prime, played blackjack exclusively on my last 7 night cruise, $1K buy-in every time I sat down, 2-3 hours a night.  $25 average bet, spreading to up to $400.  Checked my status when I got back at:

https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/PlayerLookup.asp

My points had reset to zero since I hadn't cruised in a while.  1081 points for that cruise.  That's kinda pathetic.  Then again, up at the end of the cruise 🙂

I am not an advocate of spending x amount of money to win a free cruise, when that amount can outright pay for a cruise, or one does not already like to gamble. However, to each their own. If OP has 7k they want to blow through, that is their choice. I mean I don't understand paying $3500 for cabanas at PDCC, but again personal choice.

I don't think the OP was asking YOU..

Even though every Casino Royale is slow moving and a VERY beginner friendly casino, the objective should be to have fun.

When you begin to think of your time there as a profit making opportunity or that somehow you are going to outwit proven statistical probability; it just plain does not work out over time.

I'm not saying don't go to the casino, I'm saying celebrate other player's wins as if they were your own; place wagers for the dealers and keep them in on the action; high fives and lots of hollar'in; grudge matches with those you came with. The amount you lose is the cost for the laughs you had while you were there. Come out ahead? It's only bragging rights till your next time back into the snakepit.

Sorry to step on your buzz.
