If you are staying post cruise understand that  Rome is quite large so not all hotels are near tourist attractions.
Try picking a location you definitely want to visit and see their zip code, then use that for your hotel search.

Flights, use something like  google flights  https://www.google.com/flights and select "multiple cities" to get an idea of costs of flights.  Keep in mind those are likely the cheapest airfares, likely might not include seat selection and luggage.  If you do connecting flights you will likely pay again for those items.
Once I figure out airfare I call Royal Caribbean Air2Sea to decide if I will book with them. 1-844-278-9745.   You can use them as a guide in regards to the earliest flight you should be booking to get home on disembaration, if you are indeed going straight home.
Keep in mind if you are booking connecting flights, even if using Air2Sea that there is passport control to go through in the first airport, which is a process so a 1 hour, maybe even a 2 hour layover may not be enough.
Air2Sea can book your transfers to the ship, if you are arriving/departing same as the ship.   If you plan to fly in early and booked with a different company (not Air2Sea) you can provide an arriving flight for day of transfers from the airport, just be sure to get back to the aiprort to get the shuttle (shuttle costs money).

Air2Sea should be able to tell you about the transfers they offer.

Allow yourself 3 hours processing to get out of Rome.  It's a headache.  If you need a wheelchair assist book it via your airline.

Welcome to Europe,
Some information:
Split is easy to visit. The cruise arrives in the city centre. Split is a very beautiful and ancient city. Nearby, possibility with boat shuttles, to go to the small town of trogir.
Dubrovnik: very easy to visit alone too. but the cruise does not arrive nearby. Either there will be a shuttle to the port or with royal caribbean, or the urban bus. Afterwards, the historic heart can be easily visited on foot.
Naples: the ship arrives directly in town. there is just the street to cross. If this is the first time, it may be useful to take the sightseeing bus to visit. There is a bus stop right in front of the castle... in front of the port. Also, the possibility to get to Capri...
Civitaveccia to finish: a shuttle bus to get out of the port. Then go to the station to take the train to rome (less than an hour by train).
