By coincidence Richard Fain owned a Morgan and immediately loved the idea. I don't know that there is a specific purpose or trend that follows a specific story. I think it's just something they have fun with while maintaining the tradition. But, there is a small child’s peddle car and a small airplane on either side of the stairway on the upper deck. I guess that qualifies as a ‘car onboard’.
