Northern European Cruise

We are doing the Northern European Cruise on Independence of the Seas this July. ( Oslo, Hamburg, LaHavre, Hamburg)  Any suggestions for excursions? any to avoid?

For France, a lot of people do the D-Day beaches or take the long bus ride into Paris. We've opted to disembark on our cruise at this port and make our way back to the embarkation port by train since it's our last port stop of our cruise.

When my cruise stopped in Oslo a couple of years ago we did the Hop On Hop Off Bus - it was great and saw so much of the city.  There is a stop near where the ship docks

We did the Viking tour.  Visited the Viking museum and walking tours through some beautiful parks.  Nice bus ride with a lot of local scenery

For Hamburg I would highly recommend to do a boat tour on the Alster and/or a harbor tour, for more information see the following link:

The port is very close to the inner city and publish transportation is very good.

And don't miss the newly built "Elbphilharmonie", the brand new world class concert hall very close to the port.
