You can, but it's about an hour each way from the town pier to an area you're probably thinking of hiking (and longer if you're looking for something deeper inside the park). I haven't seen what Royal is offering, but I'd investigate local pick-up/drop-off options instead of trying to hoof it on foot. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

purplelupines Posted February 1, 2023 Report Share Posted February 1, 2023 Another option is taking the Island Explorer bus. It stops in Bar Harbor and goes into the park. I believe it's free, but you need park passes. We've also rented bikes from Bar Harbor and rode to the carriage roads.
