Breakfast-Lunch and in between

You have a set dinner time for the MDR.  Do they serve breakfast and lunch in the MDR and if so do you just wait for a table?    The Buffet serves all three meals? Is the Buffet open all the time?  if you would get hungry and want something light mid afternoon, something would be available?

For MDR breakfast and lunch you just walk up and they seat you immediately, usually at a table with other guests. Windjammer buffet serves all three meals and is open fairly long hours. They close for an hour or so between meals to get set up. On port days we found the Windjammer was open for lunch until 4 pm to accommodate people returning from excursions. Room service is available 24 hours for free but there is a small charge between midnight and 5 am. There is also typically another snack shop open 24 hours with light snacks.

Check the cruise compass each day for restaurant hours. There are many options. There are many Cruise Compasses posted on this website that you can review to get a feel for the hours also.

Breakfast: The main dining room is open for breakfast everyday. You can order from a set menu (some items change each day) or the walk up buffet set up in the dining room. You can choose to sit with others or request to sit by yourself. Breakfast hours vary but usually are between 6:30am and 8:30am. On sea days the breakfast hours are extended by an hour or so.

Lunch: The main dining room is usually only open for lunch on sea days. You can order from a set menu (changes daily) or from the walk up salad bar set up in the dining room. You can choose to sit with others or request to sit by yourself. Lunch hours usually are between 11:00am and 1:00pm.

Dinner: The main dining room is open for dinner every night. The menu will change nightly. You will be seated at the same assigned table each night. The table number will be printed on your Sea Pass card. Dinner is typically served between 5:30pm and 9:30pm

Windjammer: The Windjammer Marketplace Buffet serves breakfast, lunch, dinner in addition to snacks at scheduled times each day. As others noted, it will close temporarily between meals to restock the buffet. Usually the Windjammer does not stay open later than 11:00pm.

On Sea days, breakfast and lunch available in MDR.  During port days, only breakfast in MDR.  All meals always available in Windjammer (buffet).

Buffet has set hours but there's only a handful of hours in the day they are not open, usually between meals.

There's always somewhere on the ship to get food anytime, including room service (which is free).

My expereince as well is that on the ships I was on, there was a "cafeteria" style place located in the solarium area. It usually had some salads, soups, sandwhiches etc and quite often seemed to be open during times that the MDR or WJ wasn't open and also late in the evenings. Food was always good there.

And of course room service is 24hrs and a great option.
