I am sure there probably isn't one obivious answer to this question. How long after earning over 800 points, does it typically take for your free cruise offer to be posted?

There isn't a free cruise at 800 points. I believe you have to get 1100-1200+ for a very select number of free interiors. They will give you a certificate the next day after reaching a threshold.

Hmmm there seems to be so many different point totals across the board. I was originally told 200 points and then onboard last week I was told by 2 travel agents and another person who actually had the offer sheet in hand is the total is 800 points. Who knows. I guess that's why I'm asking.

If you earn a certificate, you will get it on the last night of the cruise. They want to only hand out one certificate, since you can only use one offer. Anything else will post after your points post. Usually, 3-5 days after the end of the cruise. So, if you got off on a Sun, don't expect to log on and see any offers until after Wed at the earliest.

Also keep in mind that many of the crew are new and may not have all the correct information. You can get several answers to the same question and in some sense, they could be right and at the same time wrong.

The current 800 point offer is for $ off a cruise OR a complimentary interior on select sailings. You have to book that complimentary sailing by using NextCruise while you are on the ship or by purchasing a NextCruise certificate and applying it to the offer within 7 days after your sailing ends. Otherwise you cannot take advantage of the bonus offer for the free room.

I didn't hit the 800 point mark until the last night late. So on my next cruise I could go to go to book onboard and get a complimentary room for 2? Or at this point they will send me offers?

I think you are running into what I ran into as I didn't know the fine print.  I didn't get to 800 till the last night late.  I logged on the the casino royale website and saw complimentary cruises. It said complementary but it wasn't. I called the next day or the 2nd day after the cruise.  I was told I needed to do it on the ship.   I complained to the rep and they talked to the supervisor and allowed me to get an interior room on a select sailing.  If I ever get that 800 points again on a cruise, I won't make the same mistake.  I wish the casino rep on board had said something to me.  I went to them a number of times.  A heads up would have been nice. Hope this helps.

The host knew my name on my last cruise, as well as my mother-in-law’s name.  My certificate was never delivered to my stateroom, when I inquired of the host she checked a small stack she had and there it was.  had I not asked  I would not have gotten it. 😡for some reason the stack gif my section of the ship was not delivered (explains why my stateroom attendant didn’t have it!

Learning the system can be tricky.  Your certificate should show in your www..clubroyaleoffers.com site within a day or so of disembarkation. (Note:the system has had problems these past 2 days so CALL Casino Royale ,don’t wait!   If your cruise started in December the offer code is 2212c08.  The bonus portion of the offer is the free interior stateroom in select sailings, the list is quite short and is pretty much Dec/Jan sailings, maybe a few Feb.  that bonus needed to be booked while onboard and you can see like Bob you can call, complain , escalate and see if they will honor the free cabin on the select ssiling.  If you did not book the bonus while onboard you have the actual  value of the 800 pts certificate which should be $250 (I say should because different length sailings MAY have a different value) That value is hood gif 30 days to book a cruise or it will expire,

You still may get other offers in your Club Royale account so keep checking .

my advise for your next cruise
1.Stop by the host desk and take a pic of the list to earn an instant certificate
2. look for your certificate in your cabin the last full day of your cruise ***mine has not been there on 2 different sailings but I knew to go ask the host for it after asking my statement attendant if they had something for me.
3. if you hit the next level certificate while in the casino later that day ask the host for a new certificate
4. take a pic/scan of your certificate in case you lose it AND as proof of any freeplay bonus (if earned) in case it is not added to the cruise you book.
5. ask the host of the associated list of cruises for the points you earn.  They can print it!
6. book your bonus cruise at Next Cruise, or purchase the reservation  number via the app (there is a link in your profile) or use the next cruise form to purchase a reservation and drop the form in the next cruise box (least desirable choice to me) any of these must be done onboard-  if purchasing a reservation # you have 7 days to contact casino Royale snd book your cruise to retain the bonus piece..  note/ your certificate may not be loaded on your club Royale account (happened to me once) but if you provide the offer code they should find it.

*freeplay bonus (if earned)may not be loaded on your seapass Card on the free cruise.  I had to go to the cashier to have them activate it (I chose promo chips for table play)  freeplay must be played and cannot be cashed out, but winnings earned are yours to keep .  I do believe if you load all your freeplay on one slot machine you must continue on that machine until you played the value of the freeplay, so if you don’t want to play it all on one machine transfer/download in increments at each machine.

** below is the instant certificate list from my 9 day sailing. The right side is the bonus if booked onboard

The "Offers " on the website are not set in stone as to what you may get offered after the sailing. Back when they were ramping up after the shut-down you would see all kinds of stories of people getting crazy offers after spending a minimal amount. Now that capacity is back up, they don't have to be nearly as generous to fill the cabins. I got 500 points on a sailing in April and all I got was $100 off offers. Which was great and pretty much by the book. I gladly used it. But the days of crazy casino offers would seem to be a thing of the past. And also, I did not start getting the offers until the beginning of the next calendar month after we got back.

Who knows what algorithm CR uses in determining how offers are dolled out. Is it strictly based on the points or do they also consider how long you were playing for?

I initially started playing in April and accrued 500+ points, a few weeks later I received the first email offer for free cruises. I typically play $1.50 slots and average 3-4 hours each day in the casino. Crossed over to Prime on Harmony last week and I'm okay maintaining that tier.

Prior to about June, when capacity went back to normal, even if you did 200pt they might send you an offer. It is always about putting butts in the chairs. Their system is strictly based on points, they don't care how long you play, just what you pay. Every $5 is a point on slots, so every 4 spins for you get a point. Someone else could be playing 3-4 hours at $.50. They will get less points and may or may not receive an offer. Someone else is playing for an hour at $10 a spin, would probably be treated the same as you in their system.

I don't think anyone here will know the algorithm and I suspect the algorithm changes based on capacity.  However, as a general rule of thumb, Casinos tend to value slot players the most as they have a high number of plays per hour compared to table games or even video poker.  I tend to play at about $4-$6 per spin and average about 2000 points per cruise, where my wife is around the $0.50-$1.50 range and averages less than 1000 pints per cruise with the same play time.  I get a ton of full comp cruise offers and my wife tends to only get some money off offers.  So based on this personal observation, they defiantly track your play and make offers accordingly.

Congrats on crossing into prime.  I personally enjoy my prime status and free drinks in the casino because it means I can be happy with just buying the refreshment package as opposed to the deluxe beverage package, saving me about $550 of the bat per cruise (for me and my wife).  I don't chase the Signature or Master levels -- chasing them seems like a bigger risk to me than any reward I would get -- but if they happen naturally for me, I won't complain.  If I want perks similar to the Master level, I just buy the Key using that $550 which gives you the perks like priority boarding, checking in carry-ons, free chops lunch, and relaxed disembarkation day breakfast perks.  About the only thing you miss out on is access to the costal kitchen.

The silliest thing I saw on the trip I was just on was that several people refused to use their seapass card in the machines because they thought it brought bad luck.  They were betting big and lost out on getting credit for a lot of points because of this.  Yes, they do track your play history, but it does not influence your next spin.

Dan and I both earned certificates on our 12-18-22 OA cruise.  This truly surprised me as it is usually difficult for us to earn any significant points on short cruises.  We purchased 2 Future Cruise placeholders from NextCruise in order to secure our certificates/free play and since we are on OA again (B2B), we will make the bookings next week at NC.  It’s pretty straightforward.  Also, I am more than halfway to Prime already !  Since we have 8 more cruises booked before 3-31-23, we should have no problem keeping our Prime status.

I was very impressed with how helpful and knowledgeable the NC CSR were with the casino comp options.  In the past, NC wanted virtually nothing to do with any casino-related booking.  The lady helping Dan even printed out the list of available cruises for which his certificate was qualified - something that the casino manager should have done, but didn’t.

I am happy you are cruising again, and things are looking up.

I find I do better on shorter cruises when it comes to gambling in the casino, than longer ones. I have read the NC reps on Oasis are some of the best, it was a slight issue on Odyssey with the casino certs. I ended up calling a rep when I got home.

After b2b casino comps, you may end up with b2b2b2b cruises. Enjoy the trip!

Also, if you both get comps again, you can stack them together and get a possible free upgrade to a balcony or jr. suite depending on their trade in value.
