Any bad/obstructed view Jr Suites and above on Odyssey

Recommended Posts

Looking for a Jr suite on Odyssey and for the sailing I'm looking at "We pick your room" is about $300 less than "You pick your room" when I choose suite.  I assume it's almost a sure thing that I would end up with a Jr suite with a suite guarantee.  That's fine, because that's what I was going for anyway.  Beyond that, are there really any bad Jr Suites and above on Odyssey?

Hi, I did a quick look at the deck plans for the Odyssey of the Seas (https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/odyssey-of-the-seas/deck-plans/2141/06).  I could not find a Junior Suite with an obstructed view (look for the following icon Obstructed View for an obstructed view).  However, whether or not a suite is 'bad' would depend on how picky you are.  For example, on the 6th floor, there are junior suites next to stairs and elevators.

i think it's more that you don't get to choose the location or deck on the ship -- some may prefer to sail in mid/aft for motion sickness (like us!) or prefer a high or low deck more than the other.
