Sunny_D
Does the credit card you use to reserve your cruise (and make subsequent payments up to final payment) get saved by Royal Caribbean to also be used as the card on file during the cruise? My husband is paying for his brother and SIL’s cabin on our upcoming cruise, but definitely does not want to also pay for their onboard expenses. Once the final payment is made on the cabin (November), will his card disappear off their reservation, or will we need to contact someone to get that done? Thanks! smokeybandit
You can pick which credit cards are used for each passenger for onboard payment when you check in for the cruise. Sunny_D
Ryan79
During check-in you input a card for each person on your reservation to have their charges linked to. You can use different cards for different people. Sunny_D

Thank you. Do you know at the time of check in if my husband’s original card would have been saved and would appear to BIL as an option to choose, rather than add his own? Because if given the choice I think he would do that and feign ignorance later Pooch
not easy being green
I think it is different departments, when checking in they have always asked for a CC and "who can use it", we do that and when we actually get to the dock we limit what the twins can "spend" per day. Enjoy your cruise! Sunny_D
LJay0301
when I checked in last week there wasn't a card stored - I had to enter the credit card that I wanted link to my account (which was the same card we paid for the cruise when we booked), and then when I checked my boyfriend in I also added a credit card to his check in as well. smokeybandit
I don't believe your card is stored when you check in unless you've been on a previous cruise where you added that card at check in. Sunny_D
Al Miller
They don't store your card from sailing to sailing. Which personally I don't mind since with fraud and defective chips and stripes, I seem to get new cards, numbers and expiration dates all the time anyway. So it reminds me to make sure my info is current.
twangster
When I check in for the next cruise they offer me my previously used credit card as an option to select. This has occurred fow a while now. Sunny_D
Lugnut
If husband is paying for the cruise, and the reservations are linked (which, if not, they probably should be to ensure things like dining together) he can do their check-in. I've done that when we travel with my wife's sister. I just ask her what credit card she wants to use on board and enter it for her when I do her check-in.
