Ok, so I see on Royals site that there are no interior aft cabins left to pick. And only a total of 9 from midship and forward. So for those with a gty inside once those 9 left are gone, are we in a better position to be told what are cabin is? It's for May, but if all the inside to pick are gone, then that just leaves the gty's.

No for a few reasons.

1) Royal doesn't necessarily show all availability on its site.  This used to be more obvious when comparing with the UK/European versions of the site but now both use the same engine.

2) You're far enough away that Travel Agencies may be holding unseen inventory at group rates.  This gets returned to Royal at some point and either shows up on the site or could be used to satisfy those GTYs.

3) Even when a category shows as fully book/sold out, Royal can just decide to wait until boarding day to assign you a room.  There's no rhyme or reason to why they do this.

RoyalUp can also play a factor.  They could actually sell ALL the interior rooms without leaving any for GTYs because they know some of those rooms will get vacated by people that bid for and win RoyalUps.  Then, they give you one of the now vacant rooms and they've made extra money.
