ScottW3
Quick question for those who utilize MGM status benefits with Royal. I'm currently platinum status with MGM and with that comes an annual cruise benefit (or trade-in value of $375) and $200 OBC. I keep getting the run around trying to apply this to an existing booking. One excuse was because the cruise I wanted to apply it was wasn't in 2022, a new rep says no its fine that its in 2023, but you have to transfer the reservation from your TA to Club Royale. I get far more obc from my TA, so I definitely don't want to transfer. The terms and conditions of the mgm offer don't say anything about needing to book directly with the casino. Anyone out there utilize this benefit and have any tips? Thanks
RCLblue10
I have had no success in trying to use the same offer. I am also platinum and get a run around from RCL. I gave up and booked with a TA and did not use the offer. MGM should re-consider what they provide, or maybe RCL doe not want that type of business. Club Royale deals with casino perks and the regular reps may not know how to apply the benefits at all. Is it possible your TA can deal with the casino reps on your behalf? Anyone out there utilize this benefit and have any tips? Thanks I booked my Oct cruise using the MGM offer. From what I was told, I have to make a new booking with them. My trade in value is $375. At the time Bermuda on Oct is around that price, so I went ahead and booked it. Plus I got $200 OBC. So I will be cruising in less than 30 days
ScottW3
Thanks for the replies everyone. It looks like there's no way around it. Even though its an MGM benefit, RC wants a cut. Maybe I'll look for a 3 night cruise and use it that way.
Qeyton Dude
same results for me, seems they are enforcing the "with-in the next 12 months" and "new Bookings only" T&Cs. Also as others have said, you must deal with the casino desk team, not the regular customer service.
