woodman1
We board Adventure of the seas the 29th. Where do you go to register for the specialty dining for each night? I know you have to go to Izumi to do it or think I have too. Also what shows are they doing and times/days are they doing them? Thank you Woodman
ChessE4
On Mariner day 1 there was someone on promenade booking reservations but I went to a restaurant where line was shorter.
Pattycruise
I just got off the Adventure yesterday. you can go to any specialty restaurant when you board to book your dining. In fact there are people walking around asking if you want to book. I was alone reading something in the casino when I was approached to book specialty dining. Both Chops and Giovanni’s had very few people dining in them when I was there. They do the taste of Royal lunch on the final sea day. I received that pitch from the head waiter at dinner in the main dining room. He sold it as “ only open to 100 people, and 20% off if we signed up.”. So I signed up, why not? However we were due for tough seas when Fiona changed course and I cancelled since I am prone to sea sickness. I walked by the restaurant during Taste of Royal and there might have been 20 attendees. there were no reservations required for anything show related I recommend you show up very early for the ice show. The first night, as a solo, I was 5 minutes late and they said it was full-come back for the later show. I was 15 minutes early got the later show and again, I could not get in. Needless to say I arrived 45 minutes early on the next day the show ran and I had the pick of seats. Bring a light sweater…it’s a tad chilly. the entertainment schedule will be in your cabin which was not available until after 1. You could ask guest services for a copy if you didn’t want to wait. this is the only ship I’ve been on where the MDR opened “on the dot” for seating. Patty what did you do in Halifax, we have nothing booked and trying to figure it out. My sailing did not do Halifax that port was changed months ago for us to either St. John’s bay or Sydney -I forget which one. when I was in Halifax in May I did Peggy’s Cove and Titanic cemetery. It’s a very scenic drive/location to Peggy’s Cove. The tour guide recommended a lobster shack …excellent lobster roll AND ice cream. Barely enough time to take a few pics though and buy 1 souvenir. Another 20 minutes there would have been nice. Or, I should have bagged the lobster roll, ate the ice cream while walking and took my pics. the cemetery was “nice”-great info from the tour guide. I’ve nothing scheduled for my Halifax port next month. I might consider a walking one but if it’s early morning I’m out. I prefer to sleep past 8. wstephensi
My wife is a Titanic fanatic. We booked the Titanic cemetery tour. I think I remember there is a small museum of Titanic artifacts?

I’ve heard of the museum, but I did not see a museum, my particular tour did not allow time for it. wstephensi
