Choose Suite assignment: Let them choose or pick your own room

Apologies if this question has been asked 1000 times, I've searched and cannot find the answer.

If picking a suite and selecting 'let Royal pick,' do you end up with a Junior Suite or Grand Suite?

What is room category for the GTY? There's a code associated that will tell us the answer.

Thanks for responding! I hope I understand what you are asking me. I’ll give it my best.

 

Picking the RCL picks the room option; as best as I can tell the code is: “Suite Guarantee”

I also get this:

“You selected a Guaranteed Stateroom. Your room is guaranteed at minimum in the category selected and will be assigned prior to sailing.”

When I pick, the Junior Suite is J3 and J4; the Grand Suite is GS.

With a Suite Guarantee room, you could end up with any room in the Suite category, from Junior Suite to Royal Suite. However, there are FAR more Junior Suites than any other kind of suite, so expect a Junior Suite.
