RC Visa Rewards

A lot of it depends on timing, and if space is available, if you have a TA check with them and let them do the leg work.  If you book this trip yourself for the point they have a toll free number and you call them (points line) and they will call a number to RC to see if any upgrades are available and if this can be done.  We have found sometimes it works and sometimes it really doesn't.

We usually use points to help pay off the cruise, I think a long time ago we tried to upgrade and none were to be found.  Good luck and let us know if this works or not.

Thank you

We use the RC Visa card for our RC purchases and have accrued enough points for a new cruise. Here’s the question - can I upgrade from my rewards points cabin? And, if so, how?

I was on the rewards site yesterday buying OBC with points, and I saw an icon for upgrades.  Have you tried that?

Does anyone know if I use my rewards for OBC can I cash it out while onboard? I just realized that I can only get an oceanview cabin if I use the points I've been saving for a cruise or companion cruise. Thanks!

You can.  You can either use it for Cruise Planner purchases (you can call them up and ask them to apply the OBC right away instead of waiting right before the sailing), or you can use it to pay for on-board things (purchases, even gratuities). If you want to just take the cash, it's easy to do it in the casino on a slot machine (you don't even have to gamble!  I'm terrible at explaining how to do it, but you basically use your SeaPass card in a slot machine, transfer your OBC to use at the casino, and then hit "collect" on the slot machine.  Then take it to the cashier for cash).

It’s correctly worded  except one part you will not see “OBC” as a choice as to how to get $ to the machine.  Instead it is “room charge”.
the casino host, or cashier, should be able to give you the written directions to follow to do this.
