I am going on a 5 day cruise on the Mariner in October, then staying on the ship for an 8 day Bermuda cruise. So B2B. Is Royal giving the covid test for B2B cruises as they did last October 2021?

I have an article for you. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2022/05/06/royal-caribbean-doesnt-require-back-back-cruisers-do-covid-test-anymore

There are some exceptions: If your subsequent cruise visits Canada or Bermuda, you will need to complete a test before that sailing commences. Guest Services will contact your before the sailing to arrange for that testing.

That's actually a good question. Since B2B cruises don't require tests, you would think no. But Bermuda is requiring testing, so I'm guessing you'll need one after all.

If it were me, I'd take a video-proctored test of some kind with me as a backup plan, and ask Royal to do the test during the first cruise. Worst case they say no and you can do your own test.

From their FAQ at https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/can-i-book-back-to-back-cruises-at-this-time:

Quote

For guests departing from a North American homeport on consecutive sailings on the same ship

You will need to meet any travel requirements that are in place for the first cruise in your series. See requirements by homeport.

For most North American consecutive cruises, testing will not be required on subsequent sailings, regardless of vaccination status, the duration of those sailings, or the total duration of your cruise series.

There are some exceptions: If your subsequent cruise visits Canada or Bermuda, you will need to complete a test before that sailing commences. Guest Services will contact your before the sailing to arrange for that testing.
