constable145
I'm sailing on the Liberty in less than 2 weeks! I'm beyond excited- I booked this trip in 2019 shortly after my last cruise. I need the surf and stream package to help my little one stay in touch with her mom back in Canada- the package is currently 19.99 per device, per day in the cruise planner. Is it better to book it now or is the diamond discount likely to be a better value? The last time I sailed I was able to get the voom and deluxe beverage pack and before then I was in the royal suite class, so I haven't had to think hard about booking internet really, ever. Thanks! Ampurp85
I believe the Diamond discount is 1 free day or like the cost of one day off of a package. There is a thread that list the benefits. If it is a 7-day cruise, you might be better off getting internet in the cruise planner.
JC Pats
The Diamond Discount is 1 "Free" day which is equivalent to $24.99 (this is the amount used for the discount when you buy on board) and not combinable with the cruise planner. So (some maths) $24.99 times 7 equals $174.93 subtract $24.99 (Diamond On Board discount) and your total is $149.94 if you purchase on board. Cruise planner at $19.99 per day, times 7 equals $139.93 - so you're basically saving $10 by pre purchasing through the cruise planner. FionaMG
If you're sailing as a single adult with a child under the age of six, it would be worth checking to see what price The Key is selling for on your sailing. It's been deeply discounted during the Labor Day sale for many close-in sailings and could conceivably be cheaper than the internet package. The internet package is included as one of the benefits of The Key but must be purchased for everyone aged six and over in the stateroom. Unfortunately there are 4 of us in this suite- all of us over 6. We only need one internet package so the Key is a colossal waste of money.
