ChadwickFrench
The reason I ask is because I only see upside. To be quite honest I feel like it's a no-brainer. I think it's a market that Royal Caribbean really needs to look at. Imagine instead of going to Vegas to place your bets on March Madness at your favorite sports book, you could now do it from your cruise ship while still enjoying all the benefits of being on a cruise ship and still have the opportunity to watch the games live. Seems like nothing but profit if you ask me.

ChadwickFrench
Yea. When I saw Carnival's deal with Bet MGM I thought to myself RC has to be next.
Gadget Hackwrench
All bets are off once the ship reaches American waters! Royal Caribbean experimented with a type of sports betting on some of its cruise ships just before to the pandemic. Win/Loss wagering against the line on major sporting events was allowed. This pilot is now over and there is no indication from corporate that there are any plans to try again. I imagine they will wait to see how Carnival performs with this new program and analyze the metrics before moving forward. mistertomatohead
RC/Celebrity actually has a partnership with MGM already so BetMGM would be logical. They might as well jump on board (pun intended) because a lot of states have already allowed online betting. California is voting on it soon. Matt
Infrequently, Royal Caribbean allowed sports betting. They wouldn't offer it to all games, but I've placed (and lost) a few NFL bets in the casino. You'd have to go to the cashier in the casino to inquire about it.
