Bob Burd
My wife has a free cruise certificate for some cruises in September. We wanted a particular one and called last night. They said the offer is not available anymore due to the ship having a high capacity or something along those lines. Does it behoove me to try and call a few more times as that status might change? or is it not going to be available and I should not bother. She also has a number of 100 dollar off certs but if I remember right, you can't use more than one per booking. Correct me if I'm wrong please. Thanks, Bob

Thanks, Bob Only one certificate can be used per booking. Although I have heard of people using them on already booked cruises. But the casino rep is right. The Casino only gets an allotted number of cabins to offer at their discounts. Unless someone cancels, there is no way for them to "get" more cabins. tjcruisers
I would call again, can't hurt. We have a travel agent setting up our next cruise. I'll pass along what he's telling us. Essentially you can get a completely different answer day by day and hour by hour, depending on who your talking to.

Casino Royale reps..... meh not so much.

I didn't know you can use a travel agent to book free cruise from Casino Royale. I try asking one of the agent from cruise.com, she said she can't do it. You could have certain TAs try but they don't really want to as they don't get any commission. My TA booked my free annual cruise from Casino Royale, but it was a curtesy as I applied it a booking I already had.
Sushitex
If you and your spouse have both earned dollars-off certificates, or are receiving other offers from Club Royale, and each one of you has the same offer code (with perhaps a difference in the last digit) you can combine your offer with the same one as your spouse. Sometimes, if the cruise is a short one and during off-season, you can combine said offers to book a really inexpensive cruise - we have had some cruises that amounted to paying only for taxes because of the combined discounts. Just food for thought. If for some reason you don't know about the offers website, here it is: https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/ You can insert the needed information to find out if your wife has any other offers listed (the one you referred to should be included.) You never know - something better than the certficates may be listed. The general rule of thumb is to book a comped cruise a.s.a.p. - they go fast. Travel Agents can book casino cruises but there is little incentive for them these days as the commission for casino cruises is extremely poor. They receive a flat fee commission (the value of which I am unaware) and the casino really doesn’t make it easy for the agents to book anymore. They (TA) can do it but they usually don’t really want to as the casino bookings are more trouble than they’re worth. Yes, I had an Alaska cruise booked thru my cruise.com before I got an certificated offer from Casino Royale. I reach out to her to see if I can use that certificated for my Alaska which the date match with the date I booked. She said I can't use that.... At that time, I though about cancel the booking and just lost the non refund deposit. But then again, why not give myself a treat. so I booked another cruise by calling casino royale using the certificate.

Since I know the date I want to travel & room # I want. Much easier. Just pay taxes and port fee and gratuities. And I get email confirmation from the casino agent right away. leesam82
Hi Bob I have used casino royale before for cruises. One thing that does occur is that everyone (travel agents, individual travelers, and RCL agents) all book through the same system and rooms. This means that some times a sailing could be sold out. However, what happens sometiems is that agents can do a 24 to 72 hour courtesy hold for the passenger. Once that hold is done the room is freed up to be booked again. I would keep on calling in until you see the sailing be listed as sold out on the RCCL website. WAAAYTOOO
Bob Burd
Thanks everyone for the comments. An update to this post with some good news. When I didn't get the cruise thru calling casino royale, we clicked on the redeem button on their website. I figured it could not hurt. The next day we did get the cruise we wanted thru the redeem button and I was very happy and I called right away to pay to make sure they didn't take the reservation away!! I then called to upgrade and was able to get a balcony room at no extra cost. So even more happy. I figure it's ok to post this as they wouldn't take it away after I paid! We leave in a few weeks on our first cruise on an Oasis class ship, the Oasis no less. Pattycruise, KristiZ and WAAAYTOOO 1

There could also be a large group that cancels before final payments are due, so a sold out ship could be scrambling to fill cabins.....always check back!!
